About Me

Dahni Piro is a young Mex-Italian from Northern California. Usually when she says she’s from Marysville she’s met by a look that can only mean “huh?” So, for all intents and purposes, let’s say she’s from Sacramento. Dahni loves dogs - just thought she’d throw that one in for kicks. At least she didn’t mention long walks on the beach. Dahni graduated from a high school for the arts followed by a 2 year training program for musical theater.
Throughout high school and college she was well known for her daring and eclectic wardrobe choices *cough* freak *cough* and at AMDA was sometimes called “the peacemaker” in regards to her pacifist attitude. Dahni was raised on a steady diet of The Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Motown 101.1, show tunes and jazz standards. She’s been singing since she was three and her favorite song was “Twue Colouz” by Cyndi Lauper, even though she couldn‘t pronounce the title right. Nowadays she listens to a lot of alternative and classic rock. She mainly got into songwriting within the past year or so. People told her that she lights up when she plays, and that’s what helped her to realize her calling.
Dahni now works as a server, runs her aunt’s ebay store, and also is a cashier at a record store. She’s taking history classes online and when she can she goes to acting and voice lessons. Her acting teacher says she’s good at playing ‘quirky.’ Her mom and old dance teacher say she is “tenacious.” Her aunt says she’s lucky didn’t get skinny legs like the other women in her family.

For Asa (live)
"I do not feel obliged to believe that that same God who has endowed us with senses, reason, and intellect has intended to forgo their use and by some other means to give us knowledge which we can attain by them. He would not require us to deny sense and reason in physical matters which are set before our eyes and minds."
