Ok, so this is my opportunity to tell you as much as I can about myself without you having to pretend that you're paying attention. So here goes.
My name is Christopher. I was born in 1983 in Britain. I currently reside in Omaha, NE. I've never really been considered British other than that I am of its (as well as French) descent. I grew up with a pretty noticeable British accent, but it has since faded. If you pay close attention, you might still hear the remnants of it and every once in a while, you'll catch me referring to a car's trunk as a "boot".
I'm a child of the 80s. Therefore, cartoons have played an important role in my life, as have comic books. I see comic book characters as more than just muscle-bound, tights-wearing, catch-phrase-spewing, characterizations of our innermost desires. I see and have studied a certain psychology behind them, and have thus interlaced that psychology into my own life. That is why some people will know me as Chris and some will know me as Topher. I grew up as Chris, but in my more recent years, a different persona has emerged, which I have let be known as Topher. Chris is the more organized, mundane self of mine, while Topher is the spontaneous, creative half that has manifested from within.
I've also been a pretty creative person, and have tried to display that through many different outlets. The purpose of life is to create. If you are not inspired by anythingm therefore not regurgitating the fuel to inspire others, then you are not contributing to this world. You existence is unnecessary. I am currently studying graphic design, photography, and film making, and hope to bring what I learn to the community. So far I have had a film in two film festivals (and won one!). I have worked with people that have worked with the likes of Adam Sandler and Johnny Depp.
Film is the most important and influential aspect of my life. I have over 300 DVDs and am a frequent visitor of the cinema. My favorite film is Christopher Nolan's Memento. Personally, I see it as a masterpiece through its presentation and execution. My favorite actor is Christian Bale. I honestly have not seen a more devoted actor in this generation. He is just on the verge of legendary status and will go throughout history as such.
Music is also very important to me. Bands such as Coheed & Cambrian, Protest the Hero, The Used, and Alien Ant Farm have inspired much of what I've done. Without music, life gets stagnant and doesn't seem to progress.
