About Me

Sugar Free Music Selections - My Life Soundtrack
A jet-setting military brat who's overly conscious of where he fits into this world. A self-proclaimed modern day Picasso. Always seeking the truth in the unobvious places while over analyzing every interaction I have with people in an effort to understand what makes people tick.
A mixture of North Dakota farm boy who dedicated his life to the Air Force and a Korean school girl turned disc jockey.
Born in Korea. Raised in Germany. Residing in Arizona. Supported by family and really great friends. A passion for life coupled with a never ending energy that fuels my enthusiasm.
Design, Art, Photography, Philosophy, and Computers are my outlets for expressing what this world means to me.
I'll try anything once (unless risk of head trauma is involved i.e. bungie jumping & sky diving). Can't stand it when people won't try new food. If you try something unfamiliar to your taste buds and you gag, you really need to graduate from Kindergarten...seriously, lol. I'm all about breaking out of my realm of comfortability and I'm totally open to random activities like going to a play or perusing art galleries and late night green tea fixes. I just can't seem to find the time or the right people to do these things with =(
I'm randomly corny and there is an inner dialogue continually running inside my head. Even when I'm talking to people, my mouth may seem engaged, but my mind is crafting a satirical social commentary of the interaction, as if my entire life is scripted for Colbert Report or The Daily Show.
I was a student at the UofA studying graphic design until my portfolio was rejected, thus I was unable to break into the Visual Communications program. Supposedly my work was not conceptual enough and my work is too commercial. Bygones. I just finished my associates in Digital Arts/Graphic Design at PCC. I'm focusing on becoming a more well-rounded artist and it's been an enlightening experience to say the least.
I used to work at a hell hole of a job for 4 years in retail doing everything you could do in a store. Cashier, Supplies, Technology, and the Design & Print center. Basically I kissed butt all day to people who are far from deserving of it. It's a weird place to engage people and you really see how disgusting people can act in the retail environment. It's because of my retail experience I now have lost faith in chivalry and good manners. It's lost on people. Some day I will write a screenplay from my life's experiences working there, it's pure comedy. Ultimately, I've learned that no matter how rude and disgusting a person behaves, nothing is more gratifying then being obnoxiously nice to them. It's condescending like they are little children. I love it =) Currently I am working at AlphaGraphics as a Digital Printing Specialist, so if you ever need any kind of printed materials you can contact me. I've done lots of work for friends already.
Away from work and school is where I feel most alive. I'm a contributing editor to Dsport Magazine , shooting feature car photography. I truly love being involved with this industry and I hope my zeal and passion for it will lead me to success. I'm working hard to make my life's pursuit my career and I know there is nothing else I'd rather be doing. Through the lens of my camera I get to capture the excitement of motorsport, and forever immortalize that split second of time to share with anyone who looks at my photos. Through this industry I've met so many incredible people with so much positive energy to vibe off of and draw inspiration from. For all this happiness in my life, I have my family and friends to thank.
Quotable Quotes

"The present is the continual convergence of the past and future at a single moment of tangency." -Sugar Free Justin

Automotive Photography is my passion, in hopes of putting myself in the seat of a race car. Yeah it's pretty cliché for a guy to like cars, but it's beyond boyhood nice car aspirations and it's probably the most ostentatious aspect of myself. Car owners send me a message for rates and if your car is pushing impressive horsepower figures, send me test pics and we can discuss feature car coverage for a major tuning publication.
Models contact me for rates. I can provide all necessary portfolio shots as well as graphic retouching and editting services.

My Interests

Graphic Design, Photography, Motorsports, Politics, Culture, Pop Culture, Video, Production, Philosophy, Computers, Web Design, Fashion, and way too much other stuff to classify.

I'd like to meet:

A lady. She's eccentric, eclectic, has a flair for the aesthetic. Will dance all night to house music, then retreat to an evening of staying in with me. Unique and noticeable style when she's casual or dressed up. From hanging with the homies to shaking hands with suits to meeting the parents...she's never out of place and always leaves a positive impression. Goal-oriented. My female alter-ego who's even more obnoxious than I am and blatantly too self-aware of it =) An overwhelming sense of identity that can't be denied, but can be easily accepted no matter who is receiving them. Living a thoughtfully self-examined existence.Does she exist? Or am I asking for too much?.......

Actualized and Enlightened People. There's just a level of idiocy going on in this world, and it all revolves around political, religious, and social affiliation. I'm sick of it. I'd like to meet people who are open to every way of life and aren't merely a product of their environment because someone else told you life is supposed to be a certain way.

There are just too many ways of life in this world for anyone to be so self-righteous that they think their way of life is the right way, simply because other people do it too. It is becoming increasingly difficult to meet someone who thinks for themselves without outside influence. Life is unique to every being, why are we wasting it trying to be socially accepted?

I blame MTV.

Who I'd like to meet.... progressive trend setters who lead by example. They aren't setting trends to be received as trendy, they set trends because their greatness is so brilliant, people can't help but aspire to it.

I want to meet the people on the other side of the Pacific & Atlantic who visit my page on this map =)

Music:

Music that seemingly scores my life.

Such a variety of music in my life. Mostly I'm into electronic music from house, techno, trance, progressive, breaks, and drum and bass, but I love it all. I only like intelligent hip-hop, so jaded towards this washed out mtv crap kids call rap now. It's all a lifestyle rather than a movement.

Favorite aritsts right now...

Sia Furler - Simply the most stunning female vocalist, hands down. Zero 7. Jamiroquai (I have the discography. If all you know of them is the song Virtual Insansity, you must explore further because there is some brilliant and soulful social commentary going on in their songs), BT, Sasha, Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Markus Schulze, Gabriel & Dresden, Above & Beyond, ATB, Deep Dish, Meat Katie, LTJ Bukem & MC Conrad, Chemical Brothers, Groove Armada, Coldplay, Outkast, Busta Rhymes, Mos Def, Common.

Movies:

Garden State, American Beauty, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Snatch, Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, Borat, Mail Order Wife, Lars and the Real Girl, Juno, Apocolypto

Television:

Scrubs (I have every episode!), The Office, Heroes, Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Colbert Report, Speed Channel, Formula One Racing, South Park, Most Deadliest Catch, Myth Busters, Planet Earth, Dirty Jobs.

Books:

The Mission of Art by Alex Grey.

Heroes:

People who change the things that they don't like about this world.
