About Myself and the Wesite
My name is Jim Johnson, also known as ‘The Wizard’, and I am the founder, webmaster and administrator for the Road Dog Truck Stop.(http://www.roaddogtruckstop.com) I would like to tell you a little about myself, and how the Road Dog Truck Stop became a reality.
I am an active line haul driver approaching 2 million miles under my tires. Driving and the trucking industry is my first and foremost passion. Approximately 9 years ago I developed an interest in the internet and website design that quickly grew into my second passion of website design.
I had always felt that it was unfortunate that truckers, their families and friends, and other members of the trucking industry didn’t have a single source that they could go to for information and entertainment, and that was totally interactive.
I decided that truckers deserved a ‘one stop’ source for information, and entertainment that was also interactive. I wanted a place where they not only could learn things, but could also offer advice to others on matters using their knowledge and experience. I also decided that there was no better way to accomplish this than by combining my two passions of trucking and website design. After approximately three months hard work, a lot of hair pulling and money-the Road Dog Truck Stop was born!
