STONFORGE was an original hard-rock act in the metro Detroit area. Since their debut performance in September, 2005, they impressed local audiences with a loud, rythmic style that was distinctively and unique, but hauntingly nostalgic. You can hear their psychotic energy on the 2006 Demo, as well as see it in the live videos.
The band originally came into existence as a result of Bryan's (GUITARS) interest in a solo project that Eli (VOCALS) was recording at the time (early 2005). Almost immediately, he approached Eli with the idea of forming a band. Before too long they were writing songs together, and sooner than they thought, they had enough solid material for a whole set, if not an entire album. The bassist, CJ, who joined the band several months after it's initial inception, has been involved in the Detroit rock scene for many years, and certainly made a mark for himself as one of the most energetic performers with STONEFORGE. After parting ways with their original drummer, Chris Kern, the band was held together by Brett Kahler.
Today, Bryan is working to form a new band (Defiance Theory) with Eli moving to guitar and a new bass player on the local scene, Matt Harper. They currently are in need of a drummer and vocalist/front man. Please see the above link if you are interested. You can also find their profile in the top 8.
CJ is currently playing guitar in the Detroit glam rock band, Filmore Slim. Check them out in our Top 8!
Brett is not currently involved in a poject.
Chris is working on a project that's still underground with his brother and a friend. We're sure it kicks ass.
