With members having already headlined several events and run through countless open mics, Artificia has the talent and drive to continue expanding the limits of hip hop as a performing artist.Musical backgrounds of the members range from self-taught to professionally trained to create a unique mix based strongly on feeling with technical intervention when necessary. With traditional hip hop roots, the group fairs away into new territory for ‘hip hop’ by incorporating elements of psychedelic rock and electronic influence.The Artificia sound is derived from ingesting years of Aesop Rock, Eligh, Led Zeppelin, EL-P, Pink Floyd, Rage Against the Machine, Atmosphere, Nirvana, Sage Francis, and various other acts that have played a part in their upbringings.
