Depending on how you know me, I can either be really simple, or really complicated. I can be a very nice person but I'm also very honest so if I don't like you or if something is wrong, you'll know. I happen to be a very nice person and I've been known to bend over backwards for good friends who've deserved it. I've helped people financially even when it meant to put me in trouble and I've been there when people needed me. I basically tend to put other people before myself a lot. I'm trying to change that.
Here's a darker side of me I suppose: I was born and raised in NYC and I grew up in a pretty rough environment. I have many stories to tell but I also don't like to flaunt it. Besides, my siblings have been through harder times than I have...they're older. My brother's definitely had it the worst out of us all. My brother beat the crap out of me growing up which explains why I've grown to be such a great fighter. Ever since, I have never lost a fight and I've been in a good amount growing up. I went to a middle school where I was one of very few with my skin color which explains the early love I developed for rap but then my appreciation for all kinds of music started to grow as I got older. I've grown into my personality over time. I've developed a certain swagger to me, if you will. I've always gone with the quote, "I'm not cocky, I'm confident" which leads to people either praising or hating me. I could honestly care less which direction you choose. Like I said, I have many stories to tell but only the people closer to me get to hear them.
I've been through a fair amount of relationships and have had serious ones. I gave everything I had in me into my last relationship and it turned to shit so now I devote all of my energy into my work. I'm not going to say I'm jaded...as a matter of fact, most people that say they're jaded are in fact full of shit. It's amazing how often people turn a 180 in emotions. Me, on the other hand, I feel that as much as people might perceive me to be a great boyfriend, I guess it was never meant to be in the cards for me. Case 'n point, I found what I was looking for already and failed at it so it's time to move on to something else to not fail at like movies.
I make movies for a living. I'm the artistic director of Lauward Productions and I'm also in production of a full length feature film as well as still working on other small films and music videos to build the production company further. I like to go all or nothing with things in life, including my work so I'll either be extremely great, or an absolute failure but I will not be happy with settling with the in betweens. It's just not me. If anything, I'll have to force myself to go back to school to pursue my other dream of becoming a high school teacher. You see, I don't know how to put this, but I'm kind of a big deal...people know me...I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.
