Glasshour is a three-piece rock band from the
San Francisco Bay Area. Influences include the
Foo Fighters, Incubus, A Perfect Circle, and the Chili Peppers. Their music could be described as energetic alternative rock with a consciousness.
Glasshour is a study in contradiction, often writing songs with
melancholy lyrics wrapt tightly inside eclectic melodies and
upbeat tempos. Their just released debut record, In the Light,
recorded and digitally mastered by Scott Llamas of Popsmear Studios,
showcases a band detirmined never to play it safe, while sounding
everything and nothing like a product of their influences. In 2005, Glasshour performed on television twice and garnered radioplay from stations Alice 97.3 and KVHS 90.7 the Edge. To better appreciate what
Glasshour sounds like, check out the track "Lounge" from
their new record, and see why KTVU calls the band "...a decidedly
mature approach to alternative rock."http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c141/Glasshour/PICT0
