we were born, we got a bit older, decided we wanted to be barbaric warlords and just focused on destroying shit music using plasma cannons. Due to a lack of funding, caused by various sponsors withdrawing their capitalist pounds and dollars from our project, the neccesary amount of plasma cannons was not acheived. A much more cost effective strategy was then put in place whereby we would create music that ISN'T shit and listen to that instead. So far the project appeases both our appetites and our egos, so, based on our hunger for destroying global politics and placating our egocentric natures we have decided to let you humans in on the fun!Enjoy it like we do. ©©METALTECH was originally born in late 1996 from the discharge of (saikik vaendels), slapping metal guitars with electronic drums and synths they created a 14 track EEP entitled Octabass Anglegrinder. After winning battle of the bands in Orkney and playing gigs in northern Scotland (with great acclaim from Fear Factory fans after billing themselves as "what the Prodigy should be and what Fear Factory want to be!") the egotistical motherfuckers created a hiatus through Erik leaving Orkney to Bob's fantastic fretwork in 1998. Several years passed, many brews were drunk, Sykik Vandals formed in Edinburgh with female vocals by Patsy Reynolds, bass by Jason "ZigZag" Corbett, Tim Sandys on drums and Erik on drugs or alcohol....or guitar! This incarnation of vandals died at the beginning of 2005 due to "stuff". During that time Bob had extended his CV a thousand fold, having played in so many bands (simultaneously!) that we can only name but a few; Peter's Finger, 3 Piece Suite, THE CONDITION! (need we say more???). After much drinking and a Judas Priest concert METALTECH was re-formed in March 2005, this time with Jason "ZigZag" Corbett on bass.......A new chapter was born!!!! Cubase! Roland! Technics! Parker Fly! THE INTERNET!!!!!!!! Without any practice in the same room, Metaltech got to work, surely, but not as slowly as humans might expect! Within 13 months (including a 6 month break when data was lost...we've all f**king been there!) 44 songs and 5 remixes had been spewed forth!!!! Monsieur ZigZag disappeared for a while as he legged it to Perth (Scotland, not Australia!) but METALTECH is firing on all cylinders, vomiting electronic metal into myspace, your space and any space that isn't shit (although sometimes we make exceptions!) a brief summary is: FUCK YOU, FUCK US, FUCK EVERYBODY!...enjoy!
