Touch X Down was the resurrection of the fabled DC Straight Edge scene of the early 80s and the year 1988 was the grand staging ground for the most potent advancement of that very movement ever. These tracks have faded largely into obscurity in the past eighteen years and few will claim recognition of the merit and contribution of the long since defunct Touch X Down. However, those that bore witness to the passion and fervor which drove this band of drug-free, soul-seeking youth so uncompromisingly toward the message of that mythic year cannot deny the impact on the very face of Hardcores history.We would like to acknowledge and thank the myriad bands with which we played as well as grew up with as friends: Youth of Today, Gorilla Biscuits, Wide Awake, Up Front, Judge, Project X, Side By Side, Bold, Beyond, Underdog, War Zone, Pressure Release, Four Walls Falling, Fed Up!, What If, Screaming for Change!, Uniform Choice, Dag Nasty, Bold, 7 Seconds, Minor Threat, The Faith, Void, DYS, SSD, Antidote, Cro-Mags, Super Touch and so many more.We would also like to thank our families and friends who came out to the shows and gave it their all!
