PRINS HECTOR aka CANDYMAN is born in Rotterdam. Ever since a young age he came in touch with reggae music because of his father GiLLan MIJNALS from ROOTS SYNDICATE. His Father went to Jamaica and lived there for 6 years and when he came back to the Netherlands he puted his music carriere further HECTOR aka CANDYMAN was always listening and looking to what his father did because of that he became inspirated and affected by reggae music. although it was difficult for PRINCE HECTOR aka CANDYMAN to separate himself from the streets as a husler he went to prison in 2001 for 1 year. After his release from prison in 2002 he made a first album within 4 months time named TRICK OR TREAT, which he could sell thousands of copies from the trunk barge. Also they offerd him a record deal in USA (tennesse memphis) that he signed. But it didn’t went positive because he had problems with getting a Green Card, that’s why he had to demolish the contract deal. After he had this problem with the Green Card he went doing his thing on the streets again. In 2003 Candyman released a second album called LIFE OF A SOLDIER, he did this independed again and he sold thousands of CD’s in the netherlands and foreign country’s. Also did he start a team called RUFFADAMN SOLDIERS ENTERTAINMENT for , promotion etc. 2004 was the time for Prince Hector a.k.a Candyman to make his first Dancehall group and the name was called BAD MAN CREW (www.badmancrew.tk). They tourde troughout the Netherlands and in each club that they performed they could make da crouwd go crazy. They had HOT Dancehall Tracks such as DANCEHALL QUEEN, PLAY WITH FIRE, TAKE BAKS 2 and many more. Unfortunately for a lot of there fans the group splited and after that PRINCE HECTOR putted his career as a solo artist further. PRINCE HECTOR aka CANDYMAN wasn’t possible to leave the street live in his past for a 100% and ended up in present in 2005. NOW after 32 months of detention he is a free men again and he rapidly picked up everything that he left behind just like we expect from him. With his Dutch language DANCEHALL MIXTAPE and complete DVD of almost 1 hour, he made his come back. Also PRINCE HECTOR wonn the FUNX FACTOR with his song called Sweet Sweet Shelly and 2 of his new clips are on SURI CLIPS DVD part 7. PRINCE HECTOR aka CANDYMAN made a good and quick come back with his RAP and his HOT DANCEHALL songs. With numbers as DONT PLAY HERE, WHAT YAH LOOKING AT DON’T STEAL FROM ME, WHERE I COME FROM and many more he says what he thinks. But also with his Dancehall songs such as HOW WE CALL THEM, MR. BABILLON, BAD MAN FROM BACK THEN and IT WILL GET BETTER. He records track after track in his own studio and cant be stopt. So be on a look out for PRINCE HECTOR a.k.a CANDYMAN with his new mixtape called the TRUTH (rap) that he is going to release before the end of July.
