About Me

SHOCKPLATE make no apologies for what they are: true V10-powered heavy metal, charging toward your face with Marshall stacks and double-bass drum slaps. With the 'Plate you have true, American fury coming at you, courtesy five Georgia residents who've been sent to sweet-talk your ear canals with vocal melody, right before deflowering them with the old Gibson/Ibanez crunch. Part of the few-but-proud Atlanta metal scene, they've been inspiring other metal-men for years, flying in the face of the feeble-minded, 'failed-musician' critics that believe all music should sound like pop-punk or Britpop. And doing it all while earning the praise and admiration of those who understand perseverance and the need to keep music intense. So take your favorite barber-shop quartet, mix in true-strength heavy metal, and you've got SHOCKPLATE. Give an ear. SP will sew it back on.
