I LOVE music!!! i can listen to it at any time. it thrills me to find good music that hasn't been exploited or drained of its relevance by the machine. i listen to a good number of genres of music and i love so many musicians that a list would just be exhausting, so i'll just say i listen to everything with an artist's ear, except music that begins with the letters A,E,W,Y, and G
XXX . R. PG13. PG. Gi don't know where to begin. i love independent movies...The Science of sleep/ Fresh/ Juice/ Poetic Justice/ Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind/ House of 1000 Corpses/ Being John Malkovich/ Fargo/ Requim for a dream/ a Time to kill/ Cars/ Who FRamed Rodger Rabbit (one of the most edgy disney films to be released, take a look at it... it's not about cartoons)/ City of God/ Amor es Perros/ Pulp Fiction/ the Big Lebowski/ unforgiven/ basketball Diaries/ Seven/ Princess mononoke/ the Secretary...i mean the list goes on,but i guess i like dark humor and movies that are kind of askew...Kevin Smith movies are pretty good too. if it comes down to it and i'm in the video store, and i have to chose between Traffic and Triple X, i'm gonna chose Traffic. I"m sorry Vin. but i do want to see "Find me Guilty"Can i mention: The People vs. Larry FLint/ Anchorman/ Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the old one, not the new one)/ the Oh in Ohio/ Afro Samurai/ Haven/ Harsh Times/ S.O.S./
i try and try and try not to watch tv. I think it can be a waste of time, but some shows are really entertaining.Top Chef: i love food, competition, and drama...Project Runway: Art in all forms inspire me...NipTuck: Great Show!!!Flavor of Love: I'm Serious. And any show about tattoo shops interest me too. but other than that, i feel that TV is a huge waste of time.
i'm in college, i don't get to read for fun anymore. But i love Charles Bukowski: "Women" and "Love is a Dog From Hell" Langston Hughs is Wonderful...Poems, Short stories, and Plays. Ralph Waldo Ellison wrote my favorite book of all time..."Invisible Man" Michael Thewell did an excellent job turning the "Harder They Come" from a movie into a novel...it was great. Ken Kesey has written a couple good books. my favorites are "one flew over the cuckoo's nest" and "Demon Box" I love Robert Frost poems, they can be quite stark, but also have a depth that is haunting. Pablo Neruda has such a soothing style. His poems are in spanish and don't rhyme, but they're beautiful and lyrical. Chuck Palahnuik always writes the coolest stuff, but he's not as graphic as Irvine Welsh. I love irvine Welsh. he can be so ugly and yet find the sense in all of the ugliness. Ursala K. Leguinn is a beautiful writer. i love her short stories. "The Birthday of the World" was a great collection. Dr. Hunter S. Thomson's first novel,"Rum Diaries" is so cool, but you can't forget Fear and Loathing...Elmore Leonard always writes books that are turned into movies, but most of the time the movies don't do the book justice, except in "Jackie Brown". do i even need to mention Steven King? but i will mention Oscar A. Acosta aka "Zeta" his books are fantastic, although i've read only one in its entirety, the one i read has become one of the most influential books of my life. "The revolt of the cockroach People" is the coolest book. it gave me a sense of purpose and the motivation and inspiration to do what i want to do. but all in all i haven't really been able to read any good books lately, but i plan on reading "less than zero", from the author of "American Psycho and Rules of Attraction" and i would also like to read "The piano Teacher"...because the movie is awesome.
BACH !!! and all the S.O.B's
