Alex from Two Inches Free

I am here for Dating, Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm your typical laid-back beach bum slash musician. I've lived in Huntington Beach all my life, except for the two years I spent down in San Diego getting my degree from State. For people wondering about the ethnic variation, I'm mostly Chilean (most of the family is from Santiago), with a little Spanish and Filipino blood for the hell of it (not like I have any control over it). I'm the frontman for a band calling ourselves Two Inches Free, bringing a unique blend of dub-reggae, surf punk, alternative jazz, and lyrical spectacle... again, maybe I'm embellishing a little. But I promise, we're good.

My Interests

Surfing, writing/playing/singing music, absorbing culture in any form, appreciating art, people watching, cliff-diving, paintballing, traveling/road trips, skateboarding, and of course ladies.

I'd like to meet:

Ladies, ladies, ladies. I mean come on... I'm the lead singer of the band, I'm supposed to get the chicks, right?

Music:

The beauty of studying musical theory is that you learn to appreciate all types of music for their own intricacies (I never said they taught me how to spell). That being said, there are certain bands that I listen to more than others: The Used, Coheed and Cambria, Hot Hot Heat, 311, Jet, Incubus, Peter Tosh, Bob and Ziggy, Chapter 11, HB Surround Sound, Jack Johnson, Pete Yorn, The Falling Idols, Tool, Rage Against the Machine, A Perfect Circle, and of course all that wonderful waste of time-music that was called metal in the 80's (Van Halen, Def Leppard, the Scorpions, Poison, Warrant, Dokken, Motley Crue, the list goes on and on).

Movies:

In God's Hands, Grind, Big Wednesday, Police Academy, Eurotrip, Van Wilder, Road Trip, Anchorman, Apocalypse Now, Amadeus, The Doors, Salton Sea, and Memento.

Television:

Unless it's sports, I really don't watch alot of TV. Though that new show Extreme Dodgeball has got me hooked. Damn you Ernie!

Books:

Mostly biographies and autobiographies of musicians... I'm reading one right now about Joe Cocker.

Heroes:

Les Paul, Yngwie Malmstein, Brandon Boyd, and Occy.
