It is my sad duty to inform all of you that Michael passed away on April 6, 2007 in Ohio after several days in the hospital. His family and I were astonished to find so many people online who knew Michael. He was truly exceptional in so many ways, and it was my sad duty and privilege to give his eulogy. I do not know many of you, but I know that my brother cherished the friends he made here and in the real world.I will be keeping his profiles open for some time. ory&PersonID=87153787Nightfly:I'm a writer, thinker, romantic, photographer (erotica, fashion, & nature mostly), music composer & mixer, and pervert extraordinaire...LOL!I enjoy getting to know people from all places and of all creeds, colors, sexual orientations, political affiliations, religious faiths, and I am pretty open-minded about just about anything out there. HOWEVER - I am INTOLERANT of intolerance. Oxymoronic? No. I deplore and abhor bigotry, racism, small-mindedness, misogyny, violence, domestic abuse, animal abuse/cruelty, people against miscegeny, homophobia, anti-Semitism, etc. I suppose I am a typical "liberal" person, the academic-type based in ideals and frustrated by real-world ignorance, chaos, and sloth of people who know better but don't care to change themselves for the betterment of the world in which we live.In any event, I enjoy cross-cultural and inter-racial, cross-political, multi-lingual, etc. exchanges, but I also love many "lower" or simpler pleasures in life as well. Life is not all in our heads, after all. It's not all ideals and ideology.I love: a sweet kiss, a cool breeze blowing by me, the feeling of sand "disappearing" between my toes as I stand on the beach as the waves wash around my feet, a pretty flower, a great song, a laugh with a friend, a 4-hour talk with someone about whom I care, and of course a good meal and a stiff drink (preferably in Rome lol). I love my friends. I love my animal friends as well. I love Christmas morning and Autumn as well. I love seeing new buds on the trees in Spring. I love the roar of thunderstorms and seeing lightning in the night sky while sitting on a balcony listening to Puccini (or Moby, or Coldplay, or Mozart, or Cocteau Twins....blah blah blah)...Ah, but this is all so superficial... To know me is to either love or hate me, overlook me, envy me, or pity me. Take your pick. Just give me a chance, if you care to... :-)Cheers!
