About Me

I just got back from a full time mission to Mexico, the Yucatan peninsula (Merida, Cancun, etc.). I'm an easy-going, laid back person. I pretty much don't take things very seriousely. I'm very patient. I'm an artist, and I like to write. I like to sing and dance and wear tight pants. I guess that's not so much of a joke anymore in this girl-pants infested emo world we live in, is it? I hate emo. But I LOVE macaroni and cheese, so it evens out. I hope that someday the result of something I do is seen around the world, whether it be a piece of art, a cartoon, a book, a TV or movie script, a song, SOMETHING. I will accomplish it, too, so look for it within the next twenty years. The name is Michael/Mike/Mickey Schooley.

My Interests

Music, Movies, Television, Books, Heroes...

I'd like to meet:

Someone who enjoys enjoying life. Someone who doesn't get easily offended. Una chica cuyo nombre suene bonito con el apellido "Schooley", je je je (es una broma!). A clown with an attitude. Somebody with cool hair. An acrobat. Stephen Spielberg.

Music:

I LOVE PUNK ROCK. Good, fast, fun punk rock. the Vandals, Pennywise, Bad Religion, the Bouncing Souls, Lagwagon, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, the Suicide Machines, Swingin Utters, Diesel Boy, Teen Idols, Zero Down, Flogging Molly, Bigwig, the Descendents, the Dead Milkmen, the Real McKenzies, Screeching Weasel, the Queers...they're all good...check them out......................................................... ......................... I ALSO LOVE SKA. Fun ska music for the best of skanking. Streetlight Manifesto, Catch 22, The Aquabats, the Blue Meanies, Mad Caddies, Mustard Plug, Voodoo Glowskulls, Big D and the Kid's Table, Suburban Legends, Reel Big Fish...you know...SKA.................................................. ................... I AM ALSO A FAN OF PSYCHOBILLY. Crazy fast psychobilly just hits the spot. Tiger Army, Nekromatix, the Phenomenauts, the Quakes, Rev. Horton Heat, the Horrorpops...Give me a good Psychobilly band and I will be happy for hours....................................................... ....................... I HATE EMO AND SCREAMO. The whiny, emotionally driven sub-genre of punk rock (and it's super yelly counterpart). I HATE IT. I am especially sick of having punk rock associated with emo, because when I say I like punk rock, I don't want people to think I'm a whiney baby. It's essentially crying, set to music. A punk don't need a tissue...cheer up, emo boy......................................................... ........................ I also like Some other stuff, like They Might Be Giants, Bad Astronaut, Primus, Ben Folds, Ben Folds Five, Cake, Weezer, MC Lars, MC Frontalot, Optimus Rhyme and some other various stuff....................................................... ......................... I also like old stuff, like everything from the 50's and 60's...I also like Jazz, cool smooth jazz...I also like listening to classical sometimes. Music is good.

Movies:

I really like comedies, what more can I say? Will Ferrell is a genius, anything he's in is solid gold. Jim Carrey (when he's doing funny stuff) is awesome. Almost all of Adam Sandler's movies are great. Other good movies: "Mystery Science Theater 3000: the Movie" is hilarious. "Dirty Work" is great, and if you haven't seen it, SHAME ON YOU! "UHF" is pretty good...I don't know, there are so many funny movies, I can't name them all...so THATS ALL YOU GET. now GO HOME.

Television:

I mainly like CARTOONS, ANIMATED SITCOMS, and COMEDIES.................................................... .................. My favorite CARTOONS are cartoony cartoons with good animation. Ren and Stimpy, the Ripping Friends, old Popeye cartoons, Rocco's Modern Life, the Fairly OddParents, Dave the Barbarian, Old Disney cartoons, Loony Toons cartoons, etc. things of that nature...................................................... ....................... My Favotite ANIMATED SITCOMS are as follows: The Simpsons, Family Guy, The Critic, Futurama, the Oblongs, Mission Hill, South Park...I think that's about it.......................................................... .......................... When it comes to Live action TV, I mostly like COMEDIES, such as The Office! Seinfeld, Saturday Night Live, pretty much everything on Comedy Central (the Daily Show, Reno 911, Kids in the Hall, Upright Citizens Brigade, etc.) I don't know...I like alot of funny shows....................................................... ....................... I HATE ANIME! HATE IT! You might know it as Japanimation or something, but I HATE IT! I especially hate it when people refer to it as a CARTOON! IT'S NOT A CARTOON! Sorry, I am very opinionated when it comes to animation...and I DON'T LIKE IT. "Hey, let's draw three frames and make a two minute scene using them...we only have to move the mouth and the background!"................................................ ................... I also like the History Channel and the Discovery channel.

Books:

AMERICA: The Book. This book is hilarious. Read it. The Holy Bible and the Book of Mormon. "The Little Prince" is GREAT, and it's short and simple.

Heroes:

Spiderman, because he saved my life once. "everybody gets one." he said.
