About Me

First off and foremost, I'm the bassist for Shaking Judy , that ambitious rock band, and for Sleaper , that enigmatic metal band. That aside...
In case I randomly added you and you think you may know me, then you probably recognize me from Montreal, New York City, Las Vegas, Japan, Australia, Fiji, Los Angeles, Westminster Day Camp, Herz, Rosemount, Shaking Judy or Sleaper. It's also plausible that I may be the most interesting person you've never met.
Music has been a part of my life since the very beginning. My ideas have always been out there, from my first punk rock band back in high school to my current endeavors in the world of creative alternative rock and in innovative metal. In 2002, I found out what I had been missing from the world of music. I hadn't realized that I was able to plug my instruments into my computer and bring my ideas to life. One winter's day, I plugged myself in, and began to explore the new worlds that lay within. This site is not dedicated to my bands or previous projects (like Scapegoat, 7 Years Bad Luck and Justin's Night Ride) but to my solo tracks, personal thoughts and my various strange ideas that have surfaced in the past many years of musical and philosophical awareness on this obscure planet.
The many ideas contained herein went either under the pseudonym Sandman, or under the elusive title Emerald Fog. I don't quite know which one I like better, so what the heck... I use both.

Boston Nerd Conference, Day 5

My time in Bawstin is winding down, as it were. Today was a quick and lazy day, as I slept through my alarm and missed the next shuttle to the BCEC. Unfortunately, all Sunday shuttles were extremely ...

Boston Nerd Conference, Day 4

First on the list of things to do today was to sleep in until at least 9 PM, which was well deserved and highly enjoyable. I woke up and finally grabbed some real breakfast in the hotel, and then too...

Boston Nerd Conference, Day 3

Early to rise, early to bed is the motto these days. A fresh beginning at 7 AM was the prescription this morning, followed by an hour long wait for a shuttle bus to the BCEC that didn’t show up...

Boston Nerd Conference, Day 2

A good night’s sleep cures nausea, apparently. It even allows me to function normally when getting up at 6:30. It seems getting up that early is only terrible if it is followed by going to work....

Boston Nerd Conference, Day 1

That’s merely the teasing name, mind you... it’s actually a glorious National Science Teachers Association conference (NSTA.org) and should rock my socks with mad science, as well as give ...

Highlights of 07 and all that jazz...

While 2006 was the most insane year of my life, 2007 was slightly calmer, and more "adult". It was a year of settling in and getting comfortable. Finished a year of public school and ended up heading ...
