About Me

Stone Deep can be summed up with one simple word, Passion. While watching Stone Deep perform, it is not surprising to see Anthony, front man for Stone Deep, shed a tear while he sings the crisp lyrics that pour straight from his heart.

The trio’s founding members, Daniel Jaramillo and Anthony Norris, met at a mutual friend’s funeral. Instead of grieving the loss of a too shortly lived life, they decided to join together to write music of regret and redemption. Shortly after coming together they met bass player Erwin Sagche whose life and music style fit Stone Deep perfectly. Now dedicated to spreading their message of Faith, Hope and Love, the trio has grown into a true ‘Band of Brothers’ and one of Santa Fe’s most promising bands.

Five years in the making, Stone Deep, has drawn from influences such as U2, Led Zeppelin, Jars of Clay, and Latin bands Ozomatli and Café Tucuba to bring together a mix of Rock and Blues with hints of Bluegrass and Latin Dance music. Drawing from maxims, scriptures, and ideologies of the world’s greatest philosophers to tell their stories of heartbreak and the hope that is born from them.

Stone Deep now plays regularly at the Cowgirl Bar & Grill in Santa Fe and was one of the finalists for the 2005 New Mexico Music Showcase in the rock music category.
