The concept for MIX TAPE RIOT! came from many nights of going out and always hearing the same shit no matter where you go. Nowadays people are only satisfied when they can sing along to a familiar tune.What's a dj to do??? Flip the script. MIXTAPE RIOT! takes songs you know and love and remixes them by pairing a capellas with new original productions from ThE BeATaRdS. All night, ThE BeATaRdS crew uses four turntables to premier live remixes. Joined on stage by host, UTK the INC, along with some of New York’s hottest downtown musical talent.MIXTAPE RIOT! flows all night, no pauses, in true mix tape fashion. There is no delineation between the live performers and the live remixes, creating a common ground between the new and the established artist.  This artistic common ground is where MIXTAPE RIOT! will be firmly rooted.MIXTAPE RIOT! is the forum for new music and reinventing old. Always flipping the script and staying one step ahead of the game.
