other human beings....especially Anthony Bourdain, Gael Garcia Bernal, and Subcomandante Marcos (delgado zero)...oh and Adam the Englishman I stalk through my subscription to his blogs-I love the dry wit of the brits.
Most everything though favorites are: hip-hop, jazz, funk, folk, soul, blues, neo-soul, reggae, rap, industrial, dancehall, acid-jazz, anything influenced by the aforementioned, anything made with intelligence and much talent, anything that makes you shake your ass. Music is one of the most potent medias we have. I appreciate all the artists that have contributed to the soundtrack of my life. Music Video: SEND IT ON (by D'Angelo)

rosencrantz and guildenstern are dead, amelie, bram stokers dracula, labrynth, princess bride, the game, lock stock and two smoking barrels (luv guy ritchie-die madonna die), momento, wild things (not only are there some good plot twists but you get to see kevin bacons bacon), devils advocate (pacinos rant towards the end was perfection in word and delivery), true romance (not afraid to say tarantinos work has been a slow decline since), identity, crouching tiger, big fish, gangland creampie V, the ring, sleepers, rounders, high fidelity (luv it - missed the top five though probably in the first dozen in reality), seven, i heart huckabees, y tu mama tambien, american psycho, crash and suprisingly countless others. surprisingly because when starting this list i was thinking how due to my history of film class i was doomed to over analyze and therefore hate all movies for the rest of forever....though mostly true for some reason i still torture myself with an ample helping of crappy cinema weekly.
i don't watch tv often but when I do i love love love csi and going tribal. i also enjoy family guy and can easily get sucked into reality tv.
i luv to read hence one of my pics portraying exactly that. i went from waitressing for a grand plus a week to workin at barnes&noble for that reason. i have read quite a bit and always feel like im leaving something out when assembling a list of my most enjoyed selections but here is an overview. another roadside attraction (infact anything by tom robbins), history of knowledge (the book that turned me on to non fiction for fun totally kicked my ass), naked ape(desmond morris), the te of piglet and toa of pooh(benjamen hoff), stiff(mary roach), painted bird(jerzy kosinski), atlas shrugged(ayn rand), jazz(toni morrison), choke(chuck palahniuk), sex drugs and cocoa puffs(chuck klosterman), davinci code(dan brown), zero the biography of a dangerous idea(matt zimet), nersesians four starting with the fuck-up, bluebeard(vonnegut), the 13th element: the sordid tale of murder, fire and phosphorus(john emsley), dharma bums(kerouac but i hated on the road yes yes hated it), all of anne rice's erotica (especially the beauty trilogy excluding exit to eden as a whole) and her original vampire chronicles, websters dictionary and the list goes on and on and on and on........
my high school art teacher mr taylor is one of the most amazing individuals i have ever met to date and i wish either i was born sooner or he later so we could have hooked it up and ran away to travel the world together. also my mom is a hero of mine. i am very very lucky to have her as a mother and a role model. we have had our bad times all caused by the fact they we are the same people-bitchy, stubborn and always right (or how she likes to say strong willed and vocal, tenacious, and confident). love you mom
