The brave don't live forever. The cautious don't live at all.

About Me

I am completely and culturally indoctrinated with this place that is called America, and all of the variations that I have experienced and felt from my home; Los Angeles Cali. I am an amalgam of the population in and out. This in no way implies confusion, but an embrace and appreciation for all the people and places I have experienced. I hope this is not too vague. You will just have to get to know me. The arts are my life, with music being my primary form of expression. Painting coming in a close second. Mr. Murdoch may be watching, so I will need to discover a more encrypted way of revealing more of myself to you. I will keep you posted. But I would like to share some time with some new, creative, interesting, fun people.

My Interests

My life story, music, Aikido, fine Art, new places, travel, the beach, my truck, Poppin, breakin, didjeridoo, guitar, Stevie Wonder, (just being random here), Orisha's, Plants, Hacks, computers, drums, Love. More to come.

I'd like to meet:

Creatives who take themselves lightly. Positive individuals with whom I can relate.

Music:

At 3 I was listening to the Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Modern Jazz quartet and all the records me mum had around the house. At 8 I was listening to Beats and Rhymes such as Rappers delight and all the early old school "Hip Hop". At 10 I was introduced to Rodney on the Rocks which led to my infusion into underground rock, new wave, and punk. Later it all became a mix of all these influences with the addition of ska and reggae. All of these influences I still carry with me today and they manifest themselves depending upon my mood. I can't be too specific because it would take me a week to complete a list. You can fill in the blanks. I can say that Howlin' Wolf is one of my musical heroes, I didn't know him so he is not in that section. Anything that helps spark that thing. You know that thing...?

Movies:

In the Realms of the Unreal, the Godfather Trilogy, Deep Cover, Rockers, Downtown 81, Liquid Sky, Lost in Translation. There are plenty more.

Television:

T.V. NO WORKY!

Books:

The Slave Trade, Behold a Pale Horse, Kebra Negast, The Stranger, Henry Miller book, A Stronger Kinship. On and on and on......

Heroes:

My family for making it through the times. Sugapop, Bambaataa, Stevie Wonder.

Too Bad for You

Today September 24, 2005 my car was stolen. It's a good thing I don't have much of an attachment for material things. It is upsetting that I spent 5 years paying for the thing and someone in just a ...
