About Me

As some have kindly put it, I am a "unique and special snowflake". Right. A friend from high school wrote in my senior yearbook: "It is said that geniuses live in their minds in a world of their own making. I hope you don't mismake yours." The jury is still out on whether or not I've mucked it up hopelessly, or just enough to make life festive and interesting.

Take the quiz:
Which Random Irish Gaelic Phrase Are You?

Ta mo bhriste tri thine
Ta mo bhriste tri thine - 'My trousers are on fire.'You're a few bricks short of a load, aren't you? You're probably not allowed to use sharp objects and you should be locked in a rubber room. With Rubber rats. Rubber rats? I hate rubber rats. They drive me crazy. Crazy? I was crazy once. They put me in a rubber room. With rubber rats. Rubber rats? I hate rubber rats...

My Interests

* Knowledge. Curiosity may have killed the cat, but it feeds the rovie-monster. All knowledge, yum.
* YPP. I'm a pirate. I puzzle. I have no nose.
* Knitting is fun. Helps with the twitching.

I'd like to meet:

People who don't suck. I know, I ask the impossible...

Music:

Mmmmm, music. I lvoes me music, and my taste is eclectic. I got a 60GB iPod and I still can't fit everything on it that I want to.

Bad: Christian Pop/Rock, Easy Listening, some Jazz, some Rap/Hip-hop, boy bands, plastic girl pop

Good: Most everything else.

Currently mostly listening to: The Jolly Rogers (pirate music and sea shanties! yarrr!), The Dresden Dolls, Bright Eyes, Einsturzende Neubauten, Coventry, Nena, all my mood-specific playlists...

Television:

Meh, I'm not much of one for television, but if someone puts it on, I'll watch, in some moods. I loves me HBO Shows (esp. Big Love and Carnivale), Monk, Law & Order can be crack, How I Met Your Mother can be funny, The Daily Show is excellent, they should never ever ever have cancelled Firefly, everything else subject to change and whim.

Books:

Yes. Just... yes. I own several thousand books and read them all. I don't have much use for horror/thrillers, generic popular literature (things like Danielle Steele), or romance, but everything else... yes. I'm usually in the middle of several books at once, and often am listening to an audiobook in my car, too.

Currently reading: "Armageddon: The Battle for Germany, 1944-1945", Max Hastings; "Fitzpatrick's War", Theodore Judson; "The Hidden Warrior", Lynn Flewelling; Audiobook: "Eragon", Christopher Paolini.
