Influences: The Showcase Sounds Battle of the Bands is back!!! This year it will be held in Lewiston. The exact dates will be revealed shortly, it will take place in November. LOKI from Portland Maine, will be back to defend their title. There will be 3 other bands battling it out with LOKI to determine who will be crowned the 2008 Showcase Sounds Battle of The Bands Champions.This year things will be run a little differently. Instead of the battle being held over 4 nights, as we did last year, several bands will battle it out on the Web to see who will make it to the Big Show. Fans will be able vote for their favorite band right here on My Space to determine the three bands that will progress to the finals and play on stage at the battle.As always there will be prize money up for grabs and lots of bragging rights. Please check back with us frequently to see which bands will be involved in the online voting process, and to vote, or enter you band.If your band would like to be involved in some of our upcoming shows, please send us a press kit with your newest demo. And keep checking back with us for more details on the 2008 March Mayhem Battle Of The Bands.
