Growing up in a disciplined household has assisted in the countless display of morals and respect that she exhibits. Being inspired by her father and mother Rev. and Sis Merrion Fleming, Dena knew instantly that music flowed through her veins. At the age of 12 years old, Dena began to learn the clarinet and realized that instrumentation was not her calling. Smiles. At age 15 she began learning performance and structure from the Gardena High School Choir.______________________________________________________ __________ At the age of 17, Dena began writing poems and songs which aided in strengthening her distinct writing style. At 24 years old, inquisitive and eager to know more about the music business was later introduced to singer/rapper/producer Casani Brown in 2006 has aided in her constant musical growth. Casani has featured Dena in songs such as "My Life" and "The Beat" and has collaborated in Dena's songs "Brighter Days" and "Loveless" on the "Pieces of Me 2007/2008" album.
