It doesn’t matter what business (real estate, insurance, house painter etc.) this is consistently the case. So how do YOU become one of the 20% who make it to the very top? I absolutely love Jim Rohn’s wisdom. He is one of my personal mentors, and I listen to his CD’s often. He says that we have a world filled with lots of starters, but very few finishers. (Remember the 80/20 rule?) The example he shares is “what if the world had builders that went around and started foundations, but never came back to build the actual structures, we would have foundations all over the place, but no finished homes.” I love the analogy! Jim Rohn also says that we change for only two reasons: Inspiration or Desperation! “Of all the incredibly successful people that I have personally known in this industry, I would have to say that about 80% were “desperate” and only 20% were “inspired!” Interesting! Are your circumstances desperate enough to motivate you to the top? Are you tired of too many bills and not enough income? Then decide to make a change this year. Don’t hold back! Give it 110% and your circumstances can change. Ever wonder why some people only sponsor a few people in their MLM career and quit in a few months? I believe it is because the entry cost to get involved in this industry is so minimal (usually less than $500), not enough to create a sense of urgency or commitment. The fact is; the $400 Ambit investment you made in yourself is your ticket to own and operate your personal multi-million dollar Ambit business. If you started a McDonald’s franchise and had to put up all your assets as collateral and personally guarantee millions of dollars in debt, I guarantee that you would work at a 110% commitment level. Some people join Ambit and treat it as if they were playing the lottery. They think they can plunk down $400, sit back, do nothing and reap huge rewards. It is just not possible! Here's what is possible. Set aside, at least, 1 to 2 hours a day and be productive in your Ambit Business and earn $100 - $1,000 per week almost immediately. It will take most people 2-5 years to hit that sixfigure income, (some will do it much sooner) but show me another industry that can create a six-figure income so quickly? This really is a great industry!I love the saying, “You can make money or you can make excuses, but you can’t make both at the same time.” Some people come up with many excuses for failure or for quitting. I have listened to the same excuses, time and time again over the years: I don’t have enough time, I don’t have enough money to get started, my spouse doesn’t support me, I don’t know what to say, I’m not a salesperson, my up-line doesn’t support me, my health is poor, I am exhausted when I get home, and on and on and on! Don’t let an excuse stand in the way of you obtaining financial freedom for you and your family in 2008. There are hundreds of people in Ambit that are enjoying phenomenal success. Learn what the successful people are doing and do the same thing. Mark Yarnell is another mentor of mine. He says that it takes time for your efforts to compound. He is absolutely correct. Back to the McDonald’s example. How long do you think the owner will stick it out with everything he owns at risk? I will tell you that he will NOT MAKE ANY MONEY FOR THE FIRST TWO YEARS. Do you think he will quit in a few months? Not likely! All the big, huge winners I know in network marketing stayed in the game for 2-5 years or more. Make a serious commitment both financially and emotionally to your Ambit business for at least a year. I love the simple training system that many of the top income people in this industry use. They say it only takes two things to be tremendously successful in network marketing: Get Started and Don't Quit! #1: Get started. Most people never really start (Remember the 80/20 rule?) They pretend to start, they say they have started, they act like they are starting, but in reality they really never start. Question, how can you quit something that you have never started??? #2: Don’t Quit! Remember it takes time for your efforts to compound. Give it a year at 100%. See what happens.A.L. Williams says that you have to be bad before you can be good. If you are committed to achieving financial freedom, you may stink at first (we all do!), but as you practice and make more presentations, you will improve. Jim Rohn said that when he started in network marketing (his first multimillion dollar fortune) he was so dismayed at the experienced experts he was observing. They were having 8 prospects out of 10 join while he was only having 1 or 2 out of 10 join. He said that what he lacked in experience, he had to make up for in numbers. In other words he had to talk to MORE PROSPECTS. In time, his bad presentations became better and better until he too was having 8 out of 10 serious prospects. If you talk to prospects about Ambit’s services, you will enroll customers. If you talk to your prospects about our opportunity, you will enroll consultants. If you talk to your prospects about your vision of the big picture of Ambit Energy, you will enroll leaders. It only takes 2-6 leaders to set you free! The Simple Success Formula 1. Start Now 2.
