About Me

Devin Reiche. Ancient at Birth bassist, and general asshole.

Ancient at Birth - "Impromptu cover of Raining Blood(check that shit at the end out!)"

"France has given the world two things: surrealism and assholes." - Devin Reiche"The laws of art, however, consist mainly of exceptions." - Arnold Schoenberg..This profile was edited with Thomas' myspace editor™ V2.5

My Interests

Music.... metal, classical, anything melodic. Music theory. Old video games (and some new ones). Politics (I'm not actually as insanely, unwaveringly liberal as I make myself seem, but I am still way left-of-center). Practicing bass for hours while watching re-runs of The Sopranos (or when I've finally irreparably exhausted that show, my sister's My So-Called Life DVDs, lol). Italian food. Italian chicks. Slavic chicks. Mediterranean chicks. Middle Eastern chicks. Nickelodeon nostalgia. Hiking, and anything nature-related. Reading non-shitty poetry. 3D art, modeling, rigging, etc. Greek tragedy, tragic opera, literary tragedy in general. Mythology (Norse, Greek, Indian).

I'd like to meet:

Anybody, although allow me to adress a common misconception: if you listen to nothing but brutal death metal, thrash metal, crusty black metal, et cetera, I most likely have more in common musically with the average rapper than I do with you.

I'm cool:

"What a burden knowledge is, when knowledge is of no avail!" - Sophacles

Music:

amon amarth, anacrusis, andres segovia, anthrax, arch enemy, at the gates, atheist, avantasia, avenger of blood, ayreon, bach, beatles, BEETHOVEN, bizet, blind guardian, bob dylan, borknagar, brahms, cacophony, children of bodom, control denied, death, death angel, deicide, destruction, dissection, doa, dragonforce, dragonlord, dream theater, dvorak, edge of sanity, embryonic devourment, evergrey, fear factory, finntroll, gamma ray, grieg, gwar, hadan, handel, haydn, helloween, helstar, holst, iced earth, in flames (but nothing after Clayman), into eternity, iron maiden, iron savior, john williams, khrysler, legnani, liszt, mahler, megadeth, mendelssohn, morbid angel, mozart, mussorgsky, necrophagist, nevermore, nocturnal rites, nuclear assault, opeth, pachelbel, paganini, pink floyd, provokiev, psypheria, rachmaninov, rhapsody, rimsky-korsakov, schoenberg, schumann, severed savior, shostakovich, sinergy, slayer, sod, sodom, soilwork, sol asunder, stratovarius, stravinsky, symphony x, tchaikovski, telemann, testament, the haunted, theory in practice, thy primordial, vader, vaugh williams, vehemence, villa-lobos, vivaldi, wagner, winter sun, witchery, yngwie malmsteen
