Exploring the diverse cultures that exist in my city, beating Pittsburgh and Baltimore, earning a winning season...
Only the dedicated...wherever you are, whether you're in Cleveland, or all over the world...join my virtual DAWG POUND...and please feel free to leave a comment!
And for you Cleveland expats, just remember, whether you're behind enemy lines in Yinzerville or Baltimore , or on a trade misson to Mali , ...You can always find a Browns Backers bar... And by the way...I've got to respectufully request that you don't add any comments with music...(I'm an old football team! Cranky!)...I love you, but...no comments with music por favor...However, if you are a musician and you'd like to put a Browns song on this page, let me know! BECAUSE CLEVELAND ROCKS! GO BROWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWNS! Can I get a WOOF WOOF? .ALSO:Leave me a comment! SHOW YOUR BROWNS PRIDE.Alex Bevan, Bone-Thugs-n-Harmony, The Michael Stanley Band, whatever they're playin' on WMMS, WRUW or Z107.9, Lil' Bow Wow, I-Tal, Pagans, Pere Ubu, Dead Boys, DEVO! ("We are not a football team, we are Devo! D...E...V...O...!"), Ohio Players (they were from Dayton though...were they Browns fans?)
A Christmas Story, Major League, American Splendor, Stranger Than Paradise, The Deer Hunter, Welcome to Collinwood, Antwone Fisher...
Drew Carey Show (duh!), even though while we didn't have a team there was no Browns merchandise displayed on his show...only Indians stuff...but he has done a lot for the city, so I'll forgive and forget...we'll just blame his corporate minded execs...
The Rise and Fall of the Cleveland Mafia : Corn Sugar and Blood, Sheltered Lives by Charles Oberndorf (sci-fi set in Cleveland!), Fever Pitch by Nick Hornby- no, I'm not an Arsenal fan...but I think you guys can relate to the whole, "trapped loving a team that often fails to ...uhm...win ...a lot..."/co-dependent/dysfunctional relationship/theme...., and then of course, there are the three seminal football novels that everyone should read (even though the protagonists are all Texan): End Zone by Don Delillo (including a passage on a football game with prose you could just eat like a bleeding raw steak), North Dallas Forty by Peter Gent, (Don't bother reading the last chapter.) and Semi-Tough by Dan Jenkins (if you can endure the first 20 pages of pure racial epithets...)
