I am an avid enemy of the fish... I love to fish. I enjoy camping and going new places. My favorite place is our family cabin in the Big Horn Mountains. I LOVE horses but at this point can only dream of having them again. I am interested in owning a home of my own and never having to rent again. I'd like just once to be totally surprised by maybe a visit from a friend or something like that... I love surprises especially when I don't have even the most tiny hint that it is coming. :) I hope one day to see Alaska, Ireland, and Italy when I don't have to stay in a hotel room because I have food poisening!!
I AM NOT ALONE ANYMORE! I am no longer wishing,hoping,and praying for a special someone. I have decided to concentrate on me for awhile and with the help of my best male friend I don't need to look or wait for anybody else. So you might say I am not available except for friends. You can never have too many friends!!! Lastly let it be known that I would still like to meet Neil Diamond but NOT in a romantic way- I am now putting myself first which is a real change- in hopes that the future with or without a man in my life is "...just around the river bend..." ha! Yes indeed!!! My best male friend is still my ex-husband and always will be, "thanks Charlie Brown for being there for me and our kids!!!"
I love all music and believe that each kind has its' place in the world... except maybe Marilyn Manson. I never listen to mad type music when I'm mad or sad type when I'm sad. I let music be the expression of joy in my life.
I like all kinds of movies. My favorite is Officer and a Gentleman and Urban Cowboy. I love John Wayne flicks too. I was very touched by the movie The Notebook. I can watch a drama and let the tears flow, which is good for us all occassionally.
I NOW HAVE CABLE so I currently watch true crime on A&E, CSI, and Lifetime when I have nothing else to do. I try not to let television keep me from doing constructive things like the yard which I am determined to get in to shape. I NEED to be outside... I have 2 cats that are mine and 2 other cats that are my two sons' but they might as well be mine cuz I feed them and care for them. :) My cats are registered Persians. I also have a horse, a mare named J-Lo... she is not broke to ride yet.
As for books... I like suspense books. I like too many authors to name and I especially like those I can see happening in the real world. I read my bible as often as I can and consider it my tool to live. I hate smut... won't stand for anything that brings people to think sick thoughts about a woman, a young girl or any child. I think women who pose for nudie mags don't know how to feel good any other way and I feel sorry for them. I KNOW, but wish I didn't, men who enjoy that stuff and wonder, don't they have a wife or a daughter, and if they do... they have no God and no inner conviction. (Or perhaps they despise their mother for her mistakes in raising them... the last remark is just a my personal stab at sounding Freudian... Ha! Ha!
My first hero is a beautiful female... my daughter Katy who is currently serving in the United States Air Force. She is everything I hoped my little girl would grow into one day and a whole lot more!!! "I love you Bug!" (I am proud of all my kids... they each have their strengths.) My second, third and fourth heros are Jake, Marc, and Nate... these 3 young men are my sons and each hold a special place in my heart. I look forward to what you become in life. Jake is an all around athlete, Marc is a sensitive one who loves to draw, Nate is multi-talented and for those reading this... Nate is the son I gave up before I met my husband. Yes... life has been hard but the Lord has brought me through it all. Another one of my heros is Neil Diamond... he has it all and I would give my eyes to meet him and sing a few songs off the record. I also admire Ellen D even though some may frown on her sexual orientation... I find her warm and open which spells honesty in my book. Another one who many of you may not know is Chris LeDoux. I knew him and his family personally and they(Chris and Peggy)are my picture of the perfect family. (Chris is entertaining the Big Man above now and will be greatly missed.) The one hero I can count on all the time is my Lord... he sees all I do, say, don't do, and don't say... and still he loves me. I dare the devil to try and steal my faith... he never will cuz my Lord will bring me to the other side of the stormy waters of life and I will be stronger than ever because all things work to the good if you trust in Him. I'm here to learn to trust and I'm doing just that and more. I sometimes feel so alone but it is then that I remind myself I am never alone.
