About Me

Born & Raised in Poplar Bluff MO. Lived here all my life, but who know's what the future holds?! I'm 38, but hate to admit it. I don't feel that age and most of the people I know are younger.

I work in Data Processing and have for over 14 years. Can't say I wouldn't try something else. But again, who know's what the future holds?! Everyone needs a change at some point.

I own my own home and live alone, but not by choice. Bought a newly built home in 2003 with my mom after living with/caring for my parents until my father died. Less than a year after buying the home my mom was diagnosed with advanced Alzheimer's, she is now in a nursing home (not my choice). So now I have a 4 bedroom, 3400 sq foot home that's too big for just me.

I do have friends that bring people over to "party" sometimes, but other than that I'm a very private person. There are times I want to be left alone, for no other reason than to have time to myself.

Owning a home is a full-time job and I enjoy keeping my home looking great inside. However, a kitchen fire in January 2008 caused about $30,000 in damages and created a huge mess for nearly three months. Even after the construction/remodeling was done, it took many weeks to put it all back together. Other than that, I try to keep it nice and updated. Suppose I watch too much Trading Spaces.

Overall, I'm just my own person, unique I suppose. I work, sleep, drink my beer and repeat. In between I play on the Internet, look for local people online to chat with and harm no one. I've been known to be overly trusting, and it's bit me in the ass many times. But live and learn, right?

My Interests

Computers, Internet, Home Video/Audio.
I actually have a REAL Theater Room in my home. It seats 16 people (with real theater seats and sofas) and a 64" rear projection HDTV built into a wall. Also have a 42" Hitachi Plasma for my Living Room, and DAMN a plasma looks awesome hanging on the wall!

Also an avid Movie Collector, over 2,500 titles including 1,400 on DVD alone. And those are ORIGINAL's, not bootleg or recorded. I sometimes feel like I have my own private Video Store.

I'd like to meet:

No Question... Olivia Newton-John! I've seen her many times in concert, she's awesome and honestly one of the few genuinely nice celebrities. A True Lady!

Others would include Kirk Cameron (an old fan from years past), Nick Carter (dont laugh, great singer!) and any other celeb most likely. What can I say? I'm starstruck!

Music:

Mostly 80's Pop, but also some 80's Rock. But not to limit myself, 50's Do-Wop is cool too, and some from the 60's and 70's. The 90's are "okay" but none of the Rap Shit, can't stand it!

I like music that you can listen to and understand the words, not yelling and screaming, singers that actually have talent. I think this is why I have come to enjoy some Country Music much more in the lat few years.

Movies:

Movies that have a story, not a lot of flash and special effects. Indi films are aweome, saw a great one recently titled My Date With Drew. I'd rather watch a good story than millions of dollars in special effects anyday, such as the movie The 24th Day. But then again, the X-Men movies are awesome.

My tastes in movies vary as greatly as my tastes in music, but sometimes the two combine. Just watched the High School Musical movies and must say, they were awesome and much better than expected, especially High School Musical 2. But this is coming from another Grease fanatic, so take it how you will!

Television:

Primetime: One Tree Hill, The O.C., Smallville, 7th Heaven, Desperate Housewives, Deal or No Deal and many more. Just my favorites.

I never watched much "Reality TV", but started with Big Brother 6, then went on to The Apprentice and Grease: You're The One That I Want. I do find most reality shows to be seemingly fake, such a House of Carters and The Two Cory's(even though I watched both).

Daytime: Young & Restless, Bold & Beautiful, As The World Turns.

From years past, Dawson's Creek & Felicity were AWESOME shows! As was Growing Pains and The Hogans. Going WAY back, I would include Dallas, Falcon Crest, Dukes of Hazzard, The Jeffersons, All In The Family, Maude, Eight Is Enough and MANY others.

Books:

I've never been one to read much, but I do like good Auto-Biographies. I've read several Donald Trump books. I did read "The Outsiders" after I saw the movie (and the NEW Director's Edition DVD is AWESOME).

To Tell The Truth
