So, please add me or re add me if you pleased…Christophe Mourthé is a visionary who quickly felt that social trends in the 1980s were constantly changing. He rapidly became a forerunner of the ‘fetishist’ school, which was later incorporated by the world of advertising. Christophe Mourthé’s fetishism became a true style, preceding a fashion trend which haute couture would later appropriate. His photos are rooted both in the tumultuous period of freedom of the 1970s and the period of ‘safe sex’, which would abruptly halt the enthusiasm of that decade. Other ways of experiencing love developed, and one of those was fetishism. Christophe Mourthé belonged to the ‘Palace’ generation, just like Mugler, Gaultier, Chantal Thomass, Madonna, Nina Hagen, Blondie, Lou Boutin, etc, headed by the spiritual father Fabrice Emaer.The famous ‘Casanovas’, characters from a decadent 18th century, pictured in the half-light of Venetian palaces, were the result of a collaboration in 1983 with the brilliant make-up artist and hairdresser Denis Menendez. He recreated the world of erotic comic strips in photography. Fetishism was made available to the general public. It was shown and exhibited. The press was unanimous. ‘Fetish dream’ was published in Japan in 1994. That same year, Mourthé’s work was exhibited in Los Angeles. The publisher ‘Editions de la Musardine’ released ‘Scandal’, featuring photos of all the models which had inspired the artist in the past 20 years. He has done lot expositions all over the world. Every women feels so good in his magic hands.Christophe Mourthé commence à travailler sur l'érotisme et le fétichisme dans les années 1980 avant que l’école des « fétichistes » soit absorbée plus tard par la publicité. Le fétichisme de Christophe Mourthé devient un style à part entière, annonciateur d'une tendance de la mode dont s’emparera plus tard la haute couture. Ses photos sont enracinées tout à la fois dans la période tumultueuse des libertés des années 1970 et dans la période du safe sex qui allait donner un coup de frein à l’élan de cette décennie. De nouvelles manières de vivre l’amour voient le jour, et le fétichisme est l’une d’entre elles. Christophe Mourthé appartient à la génération « Palace » (club parisien des années 1980), tout comme Thierry Mugler, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Chantal Thomass, Madonna, Nina Hagen, Blondie, Louboutin… dont Fabrice Emaer est le père spirituel. Par la qualité de son travail, Christophe Mourthé fait sortir le fétichisme de son ghetto du X en 1991, bien avant que la haute couture ne s’en empare. En 1998, il publie un nouveau livre consacré au milieu fétichiste en collaboration avec Boutique Minuit, le haut lieu de la scène fétichiste à Bruxelles. En 2001, les Éditions La Musardine publient « Scandal », avec des photos de tous les modèles qui ont inspiré l’artiste au cours des 20 dernières années. Dans le même temps, il signe pour Colmax 4 films à succès (Sexme, Colorsex et Amazonesex) puis un Kamasutra qui se vendra à plus de 40 000 exemplaires. Christophe Mourthé a toujours privilégié le travail avec ses égéries. En France, il a découvert et fait exploser des starlettes comme Marlène, Julia Channel, Thallia, Clara Morgane, Mélanie Coste, Katsuni, LouLady mais c'est surtout en 1999, avec son travail sur Zdenka Novotna , venue de Prague avec que son art deviendra la référence de tous les modèles ou mannequins qui s'exposent sur Internet. Il a aussi activement travaillé pour l'éclosion et la notoriété de Dita Von Teese en Europe avec qui il est ami depuis 1998. Au même tître que Zdenka, Dita Von Teese sera très vite le complément parfait de Christophe Mourthé. Leurs images deviendront cultissimes. Sa dernière exposition au Musée de l'Erotisme de Paris fut un succès immense. Il est le digne successeur de Newton ou de Guy Bourdin. Son érotisme est si particulier qu'il n'a aucun égal.
