Bowlin' Ballin' Brawlin'
Petyr Pahn Zhram was born in the Midwest, then raised on the sights and sounds of Houston's Northwest Side. At the turn of the millenium, Pahn sought preemptive refuge from the "Y2K Bug" and moved to a remote location in the Central Texas Hill Country. After years of contemplative exile, PZ has made a return to civilization, settling down in the midst of burgeoning urban development nearby (a.k.a. Tha ATX). By actively using (and thus facing) the digital technology he once feared, PZ's music and lyrics are a creative catharsis of his more primal, Luddite-esque instincts. PZ informally announced himself to the world (under the MC Pahn moniker) on Valentine's Eve 2007 with a blistering "on-air freestyle" during a college radio show dedicated to hip-hop detractor Stephen Merrit. MC Pahn's recorded debut came shortly after with a cameo appearance on the Ghetto Pagoda Industry MixTape Vol. 1 CD (Pahn valiantly defends his crew's honor after being attacked in the press by a rival band's diarist).
Currently, Pahn (or "Pz" to his friends) has emerged from a rainy Austin summer spent in the studio to unveil his new musical creation: a hybrid of Hip-Hop rhyming and Electronic Body Music beats (dubbed "Rap & Body Music" and/or "Electro Body Rapping"). Paying homage to (a.k.a. sampling) scene luminaries Nitzer Ebb, Front 242, and DAF, Petyr Pahn has worked his words into a frenzy to keep up with the brisk tempos of his icons. The result: two of the hardest genres in the world uniting in bliss...
