About Me

(Vyshonn King Miller)rose to fame in the mid-to-late 1990s, releasing his first record "The Shocker" 1996 through an underground hard core label founded by Master P, No Limit Records. Even without the support from radio and television, the self-titled debut, The Shocker, went to sell Platinum; a remarkable achievement for any indie label. Silkk the Shocker then went onto featuring on the "Bout It Bout It Soundtrack, Tru's "Tru 2 Da Game", Mia X's "Unlady LIke", and Mystikal's "Unpredictable". In 1998, Silkk the Shocker would feature on Master P's 1998 hit "Make 'Em Say Ugh!". Continuing on the success of "Make 'Em Say Ugh!"", Silkk would release his next single with label-mate Mystikal as a featured artist on "It Ain't My Fault" off his second album "Charge It To The Game". "It Ain't My Fault" became a popular anthemn in the streets and became the trademark song for Silkk the Shocker. In that same year Silkk the Shocker would reature on, at that time a new group, Destiny's Child's single "Just Be Straight", as well as, R&B singer MÃ½a on "Movin' On", the second single released from MÃ½a (album)|her self-titled debut album.

Coming off the success of "Movin' On", in 1999, MÃ½a and Silkk collaborated on the lead single from his album Made Man. The track, titled "Somebody Like Me," went on to become one of the year's top-selling singles on the Billboard charts. Since then, Silkk has released two additional solo albums: My World, My Way in 2001 and Based on a True Story in 2004; neither release generated the same publicity he enjoyed in the late 1990s, but the former still managed to sell very well.
Silkk was later featured on World Wrestling Entertainment's Wreckless Intent album, which was released on May 23, 2006. The song he performed on the album, "I'm Comin'", has since been used as the theme song for SmackDown! wrestler M.V.P. Silkk also performed former SmackDown! wrestler Orlando Jordan's theme song, "Do It Big".
Silkk the Shocker is currently working on a new album along with other upcoming projects, including a DVD feature release co-starring Lil Duval due in 2008 called "More Money More Family."

PICKING UP SOME OF THE SKILLS HIS BROTHER HAD PASSED ON SILKK THE SHOCKER LEARNED EARLY ON, HARD WORK COULD GET YOU FAR. SELLING ALBUMS OUT OF THE TRUCK OF THEIR CARS, NO LIMIT RECORDS REACH AN IMPECCABLE LEVEL THAT MOST LABELS TO DATE HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO. HE GREW UP LISTENING TO ALL KINDS OF MUSIC FROM HIP HOP, RAP AND TO EVEN R&B. SILKK THE SHOCKER HAS BECOME A BRAND ALL OF HIS OWN. ESTABLISHING HIMSELF, NOT ONLY AS AN ARTIST, BUT ALSO AS A BUSINESS MAN, HIS NEXT ALBUM WILL RELEASE UNDER HIS OWN LABEL SIX FIVE MUSIC.

WORKING WITH NEW PRODUCERS SUCH AS MIKE DIESEL, COLBY O (KONVICT MUSIC), AND MANY OTHERS. THE BLESSING WILL RELEASE EARLY 2008!!!!
