United We Stand Hurricane Relief Concert

We are an organization called Young Professionals for International Cooperation. We are a subgroup of UNA-USA, which is the UN Association of America. Our purpose is to promote awareness about international issues and help out when problems arise. In recent projects we have been working to help children in Africa with AIDs. Now we see a great need for help on the gulf coast. I recently read one newspaper article saying the final costs of cleanup could be more than 200 Billion. Our international neighbors have been helping out with huge donations; it's been good to see the world coming together to help us. Through this concert we hope to give American citizens a chance to help out those affected by the storm. Although one on their own cannot afford to give much, together we can raise thousands. If we fill the venue, we could raise more than $100,000. Proceeds would go to the Red Cross who is the major on location charity supporting the relief efforts. Even if they can't go themselves, it'd be great if you told everyone to spread the word around. Ticket prices haven't yet been decided, but should be very reasonable. All of us are unpaid volunteers who have other sources of income, so all the money goes towards the cause. So it's like getting a free concert for donating to a good cause.
