In truth, my biggest interest is stories. Stories in general. I don't care what form they're in: Television, Books, Movies, Mythology, Video Games, Porno even (though that is rare)!
If a story can be told with enthralling, believable, moving characters, and an attention-grabbing plot, I'm into it.
This is why I feel American audiences should open their horizons, particularly to things like Japanese Anime, which relies heavily on the same principles and devices as classic Mythology and even Shakespeare.
Here's a hint: If you think you're special because you've read 1984, don't shop at Wal-Mart, wear clothes out of a dumpster, or only eat organic food, you're not worth my time.
Also, if you're one of those dickholes who get puffed up about how important a "good, firm handshake" or the "correct" stance when taking an induction oath is, stay away from me. There are far more important things in life and I just can't bother with you.
Otherwise, anybody who's got something interesting to say and can get over themselves long enough to actually have a conversation (and not a lecture) is welcome.
