When I got the dough, I love traveling. Even if it is a weekend roadtrip to some famous person's grave. Memorable ones: spending the night in the hotel room where Gram Parsons died; visiting the site in the Joshua Tree, where his road manager attempted to torch his body, but botched the whole thing; then taking time out in Louisiana to visit Gram's final/final resting place; driving to Tupelo up the Natchez Trace, to visit Elvis' birthplace; And finally, the Granddaddy of them all - Graceland - during Candlelight Vigil!
Update: November 2006 - Finally made it to Montgomery, Alabama and the final resting place of Hank Williams Sr. Yee Haw!

Movies worth mentioning: Death Takes a Holiday, Lost Weekend, The Apartment, Midnight Cowboy, Godfather I and II, Taxi Driver, Full Metal Jacket, The Haunting (the 1960 version), Fantasia (not 2000), Breakfast at Tiffany's, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, Blade Runner, Apocalypse Now, Treasure of the Sierra Madre, & my favorite Western of all time - Dead Man. I also enjoy movies about canoe trips gone wrong, a little Ultra-Violence, Zombies, Gladiators, Valhalla, and most of all - Girls who kick Ass (Faster Pussycat!) And anything with Warren Oates.....
Movies I have seen recently and really enjoyed: Blood Diamond, Fast Food Nation, Running with Scissors, The Departed, Two Mules for Sister Sara, Black Snake Moan. And then there's this one, which I can watch again & again.
Television:
"My Name is Earl" - the only Network TV show I dare to watch on a weekly basis. I also like anything that has to do with Plastic Surgery, Serial Killers, Celebrity Scandal, and History in general.
I really miss Deadwood!!!

Memorable books are Crime & Punishment, The Mists of Avalon, Jitterbug Perfume, Dante's Inferno, The Shining, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, Geek Love, Interview with the Vampire, James and the Giant Peach, Dr. Zhivago, The Metamorphosis, The Stranger, Slaughterhouse Five, Being There, The Illustrated Man, 1984, A Clockwork Orange, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, Basketball Diaries, Junkie, Boxcar Bertha, I am Legend.
Authors worth mentioning: Mark Twain, John Irving, Edgar Allen Poe, H.P Lovecraft, Hunter S. Thompson, & William Burroughs. Currently re-reading the "Haunting of Hill House," by Shirley Jackson.
