Music, Music, and Music. ...okay and other stuff. Music and writing. I like to get my sing on whenever I can. Anything that involves the water. This mermaid girl likes to keep her skin moist as much as possible. I ditched the guitar for now and I'm focusing on the piano. I've picked up pretty quick, so when I'm at home I like to dink around on the keys as much as I can. I'm back in the gym again, so getting my high school body back is my current goal. My kids are my biggest interest. They amaze me everyday and I'm constantly finding new ways for us to have fun... be fun...live fun... being their mom is the best thing in the world.
I'd like to meet:
Anyone who "gets it". Anyone without fear of life. Anyone who doesn't care what everyone thinks. People who will wear ugly pants... or ugly green terrycloth jackets. People who like to be the last to leave a good time. Others as into music as I am. Someone that will call at least once a week to go see live music. People interested in making music, writing, and sharing their writing, and listening to mine... or eat crackers in bed, who love good chicken fried steak, or someone who gives my mind a good jog around the block. I'd love to meet some other rock star moms... we are so few and far between. Know that when we're old and our grand kids look up the words "Rock and Roll"... this is what they will see :

I freakin love Kelly Clarkson, WHAT. Kevin Thompson, Rollins, old punk. Don't soon forget DJ Kimberly S. God damn that girl rocks my shit up. Madness, Mike Doughty, Counting Crows, Zebrahead, Etta James, Live Animals, Corinne Bailey Rae, Ray LaMontagne, Cash, Mraz, Mayer, Coltrane, Colvin, Leo Kottke, Dick Dale and his surf guitar... shall I go on? Oh yeah... Air Supply. Nothing rocks like my Air Supply record.I miss the good ol' days back in orange county when we'd go see Sublime and No Doubt play at the little dingy motels by disneyland. At least I can say I was there before that shit was big. The good ol days. Too Short, Tesla, Pennywise... so yeah, it's all over the board. We like the cars, the cars that go boom...If it's live, I dig it. I dont like to limit myself...
Movies:
Basketball Diaries is one of my alltime favorites. Natural Born Killers, Goonies, I love war movies, The Dark Crystal, Willow, Neverending Story (those will always be good)... Up in Smoke from back in the day. God, I could recite that whole movie. I love the old John Cusack movies. Land of the Lost and Dukes of Hazard were my favorite TV shows when I was a kid. Forever, I'd been trying to remember the name of the alien people on that show.... and finally I found someone that knew what I was talking about. The Sleestack!!! Those and the Skexies from the Dark Crystal... I used to have bad dreams about those things as a kid. They dont make good shit like that anymore... 50 first dates... Love Actually... yeah those make my heart wobble. STICK IT... yeah love it. Nacho Libre...sick funny stuff like that.
Television:
WEEDS. WEEDS. WEEDS. It is the best show on television/cable. Now, Greys Anatomy. I can't stop with the Greys DVD's and playing catch up. I've started to get addicted to the food network, and when I get my ass in the kitchen I can whip up a mean casserole!
Books:
Any thing by Henry Rollins. Tom Robbins "Still Life with the Woodpecker" and next to Eye Scream, it's one of the best books I've read thus far. Best kids book - "The Stinky Cheese Man". I'm still working on Jitterbug Perfume... and will someday finish it, I promise.
Heroes:
I dont know that I have "heros" per say. I surround myself with my "heros" everyday, and I call them my friends. I admire other people that just live it, that just go for it. Be funny, be outrageous. Don't be boreing. My mom and dad are my heros. My amazing kids are my heros. Love is my hero.
