Boilerplate was founded by an ex-cop, an ex-porn star and an ex-rocket scientist who was also a porn star.

V elvet was the adopted son of Cliff Huxtable, friend and physician of Bill Cosby who later used his life as inspiration for a popular television show. Although producers of the show felt primetime was not quite ready for a white adopted son in a black family.

Though pressured heavily by his father to follow in his footsteps into medicine, Velvet insisted on pursuing a career in law enforcement. Though a favorite of his peers at the department, his unorthodox style kept him constantly in hot water with his superiors. Forced to take an early retirement, Velvet pursued his love of music. His first band Guns N More Guns had limited success with 1 hit that made the charts. But creative difference led to their breakup. Velvet founded Boilerplate with the other members early in 2007.

DS is just an abomination to all that is just and holy. I’m sure there is no need to elucidate his body of work in the porn industry. For those of you who are familiar with him – shame on you. And for those who aren’t, you’re better off not knowing.

After his now infamous on-the-job injury he was forced to go on Social Security. But not one to stay idle, DS quickly started playing some of the tastiest licks around – on guitar. His insane metallic style mixed with Velvet’s funk groove merges into a force that removes panties faster than you can say, “porn rock star.”

J ack Hammer worked with Werner Von Braun on the Saturn V rockets during the 1960s. Despite this prestigious work and success in the now famous “moon shot,” Jack’s love of porn always filled his thoughts. Giving up an almost sure directorship at NASA, Jack began starring in a long string of hits including 1993’s Jurassic Cock. At this time, Jack took up practicing the drums in between takes in order to “keep the rhythm going.” Now semi-retired, Jack hooked up with Velvet and DS to form Boilerplate.
