Please email Anna, do not email us here at myspace.
[email protected]
Who do I email if I want to book a show or event at GlassLands? You can email us at:[email protected] Please try to come to us with a fully curated event that means all bands and DJ's in mind or already booked. If you do not want to curate your own night then sometimes Rolyn creates her own bills and can add your band.
What is the GlassLands ?
The GlassLands is an experiential community arts space in Williamsburg Brooklyn. We host live music, dance parties, special events, lectures and ongoing interactive art projects. GlassLands was founded by musician Rolyn Hu and Artist Brooke Baxter in May 2006. Aaron Redlin, Derek Stanton and Jeff Bailey help to run the GlassLands and make sure things are on the up and up! We are also home to FreeStyle Arts, a non for profit art organization.
Who designs the space and who are the artists you work with ?
Since it's opening the GlassLands has changed shape, style and color numerous times. Owners Rolyn Hu and Brooke Baxter come up with the concept and design for space. The GlassLands closes for usually about one week for the renovations. For each new renovation they call on a very talented group of artists/friends to work with.
Current "under the sea GlassLands" featured artist include:
Andy Jordan (shrimps, sea monster)www.andyjordan.net
Glasslands Crew (Sea monster)
David Henry Brown (fried objects installation) http://www.davidhenrybrownjr.com

Past Artist include: Seth Ludman, Coco aka Corinne Dolle, Tunde Adebimpe, Secret Project Robot and Anthony Lebron
Is there a connection between Glass House and GlassLands ?
Yes. The Glass House was founded in Sept of 2004 by Brooke Baxter and the artist Leviticus. GlassHouse was a collaborative art space that hosted all types of events and was blessed by many magical people but the project reached an end in March 2006 and Leviticus and Brooke choose to shut down and pursue separate projects. The GlassLands is in the same building as GlassHouse was.

It is possible.
Is GlassLands all ages?.
For most events and shows we are 21+. We do at times have all ages shows and will specify when they are.
When is GlassLands open and how much does it cost to get in?

Does GlassLands give door money to charitable organizations?
Yes we try to do this as much as we can. We take a month and dedicate that month to a worthy organization. We celebrate that organization/charity by helping to raise awareness and funds. On specified events we give $1 per person from the door to that organization.
