What is the GlassLands ? The GlassLands is an experiential community arts space in Williamsburg Brooklyn. We host live music, dance parties, special events, lectures and ongoing interactive art projects. GlassLands was founded by musician Rolyn Hu and Artist Brooke Baxter in May 2006. Aaron Redlin, Derek Stanton and Jeff Bailey help to run the GlassLands and make sure things are on the up and up! We are also home to FreeStyle Arts, a non for profit art organization.
Who designs the space and who are the artists you work with ? Since it's opening the GlassLands has changed shape, style and color numerous times. Owners Rolyn Hu and Brooke Baxter come up with the concept and design for space.
The GlassLands closes for usually about one week for the renovations. For each new renovation they call on a very talented group of artists/friends to work with.
