About Me
In the streets of Harlem, a future star is born named Chitorock. 3 year
old Ray P, decides to start his future. A microphone is picked up and
it begins from there. A famous spanish singer by the name of Aramis
Camilo is what this boy decides to imitate. With the imitation of this
singer, he landed himself on TV performing his songs. Ray P. now known as
Chitorock enters the music scene. Before the music scene, Chitorock
was into sports. The love for baseball begins. He played little league
and continued to play all thru high school. Playing High School
baseball landed him to be MVP by his senior year. While playing baseball, he
was also DJing events. Many days consisted of baseball in the day and
DJing at night. Baseball also landed him to meet another future star,
Kanelo. Sadly his baseball dream had to come to an end due to an
injury. He decides it was time for music. Years pass and Chitorock and Kanelo
meet up again to find out that they both were into music. It was time
to put together a group. He later came up with the name MP3. Why MP3?
"It is a key ingredient in music. So it is time to give music the flavor
it needs". Kanelo helped out in bringing the MP3 movement to a
start. With him recording for many artists, he knew how to put it together.
MP3 is started. The songs are written and recorded. There days now
consisted of many hours in a studio. The first performance comes. It was
at a Dominican festival in Uptown Manhattan in Washington Heights. The
first club performance was up in the Bronx in Club Rhumba. As they got
better within time, the big performance came with New York's
popular Hip Hop station Hot 97 at the event called Reggaeton Explosion 3 in
2006. Doing there thing with performances, they made sure to enter
themselves in contests. The biggest contest they did was the Cuervaton
(A Jose Cuervo contest). They landed 2nd place in all of New York. That
was a big move for the group. They also made sure to take the time to
do Life Beat for a good cause. They wanted to do everything to make sure
they get there name out. They were featured in magazines as well.
Urbano Latina and The Connection were 2. With the songs being recorded, it
was time to step it up and produce a mixtape. The plan was to put out
The Take Over but they decided to take the time to finalize that
project. They dropped a preview of there talent with the mixtape called Fair
Warning. The first single to drop was called "Te Voy A Seducir" feat.
Rob Spencer from Caliber Ent. The single was a smash hit with its Hip
Hop/Reggaeton style. It remains a favorite to this day. Many songs were
dropped and now they are anticipating in dropping The Take Over this
summer. They had the opportunity to record a track with a legend, Junior
Reid called "Unidos". Staying focus with there music, they were given
the opportunity to open up for some of today's top artists.
Hector "El Father", Tego Calderon, Nina Sky, Zion y Lennox, Don Omar,
Pitbull, Voltio, Ivy Queen, Calle 13, Nore and Aventura got the chance to
experience the talent this group has got in store in this music
industry. In time, the offers and deals came but the group looked into them
and considered them to be a waste of there time. That did not stop them
from doing what they love to do. Music is in there blood. Many obstacles
and situations will be faced but at the end of the day, they will do
what they got to do to keep it going. Describe to us who MP3 is and
what the expectations for the group are. "We are the voice of the
underground. We bring a unique style to this game. I don't think there
is anyone out there doing itthe way we doing it. We are the best in the
game. Basically our expectations is to take over the music game"
