Hi! My name is Jessyca. I am a stay at home mother of two beautiful little girls and I'm married to the most wonderful man in the world. I made my first bellycast 9 years ago with my first child. When I saw the reaction from all of my friends and family, I started making them as gifts. After years of making them, I decided that I would try to start my own business and do this for other people.
Now if your wondering what a bellycast is, simply put, it's a cast that preserves your pregnant figure. It's created by applying several layers of warm, wet plaster strips on mommy's belly. After the strips have set, they will hold her shape and the bellycast will capture how beautiful she looked during her pregnancy. She'll have a lasting memory to show the children for years to come and it can be decorated anyway she chooses! The cast may be used at home as a piece of art, hung on a wall, in the nursery, or another room. Some people choose to just do a bellycast and use it as a bowl to hold and display other items. This unique creation can be done at any time but it is best done between the 34th and 38th week of pregnancy. Though, if desired, monthly and trimester bellycasts are available.
A pregnant bellycast can be created personally for you by Beautiful Bellycast or with our Do-It-Yourself kit for that pregnancy keepsake.The kit allows you to have family and/or friends create your bellycast and they are also a great option for the budget conscious. The kit makes a perfect gift, for a baby shower, birthday, Mother's Day, Christmas, or just for fun. Each kit contains everything that you need to create a strong belly and breast bellycast.
If you choose to have a cast professionally created by me, you will have the advantage of experiencing my simple yet highly skilled casting technique, which will ensure you the most gorgeous, durable, high quality bellycast possible. All personal casting sessions are done in the comfort & privacy of your own home and take about 30 minutes to an hour. So take the time to sit back and relax while I create your bellycast. Older children especially enjoy helping in the process. All materials for a bellycast are included in the cost.
I also do bellycasting baby showers. I bring extra gloves and material for everyone to be able to participate in the casting! This is a fun, original way to share your beautiful pregnancy with your guests. Another great idea for a shower is to have your family and friends sign the inside of your bellycast with messages for you and your baby. You can also have your bellycast created before your baby shower, either by myself or using the Beautiful Bellycast Do-It-Yourself kit and then have your family/friends decorate it at the shower.
