Being happy, Acting, listening to music, reading, hanging out with good friends, being active (hiking, canoeing, etc), being outdoors, dancing with friends, drawing, playing with my neices, learning new things
Anyone who can make me laugh or smile. But not nervous laughter :)
Schuyler Fisk, Joshua Radin, Lindsay Mae, Before Balance, James Blunt, Jem (not of the hollograms), Mandy Moore (her newer stuff), Coldplay, Pete Yorn, Peter Salett, Sarah McLachlan, Dido, Ben Folds, Simon & Garfunkel, Frank Sinatra, Beyonce, Jason Mraz, Harry Connick Jr., Brighteyes. My music collection varies a lot. I like to listen to all kinds and it changes depending on what I am doing and my mood. I love to listen to new music...so feel free to let me know about a new artist or one that you like.
Good Will Hunting, Moulin Rouge, Being Julia, Finding Neverland, National Velvet (a place in my heart for this movie since I was a child!) Same with Gone with the Wind, Fiddler on the Roof and Grease. And I really enjoyed Children of Men (although I was really disturbed and cried a lot after). Just saw The Rules of Attraction and it is definitely up there in terms of another fantastic movie that disturbed and compelled me.
Grey's Anatomy, Arrested Development(they never should have cancelled this show) Heroes, LOST!!!- current obsession...along with Grey's. Friends (yes, even the re-runs), Deadwood (however, I still haven't seen the very last episode and its killing me...damn you HBO on Demand...bring it back), Alias (not so much the last season. oh and I love Conan (He makes me laugh so hard that I get a good ab workout from watching him) I use to watch "The State" way back when...funny show..you all should watch it...u can get it on Netflicks or at Blockbuster...no excuses.
going with the cheesy theme I have here...I love girly books...books by Jane Green, Amy Tan or Jennifer Weiner. But I have a huge place in my heart for suspense books. I love books that I don't want to put down and keep me on the edge. And are a cross between historical and fictional. So then I can research on my own to figure out what is fact or fiction (I'm a dork) My last favorite book was "The Da Vinci Code." I am always looking for a good book. The last book I read was "Franny and Zooey" by Salinger. It was really good.
Ok..totally cheesy...but my father. He is a man who does so much for his family and others, overcame a lot in his life and still tries to do more. He has taught me that "patience is a virtue", never to give up on my dreams, never settle for less, to give to others, and to never let success create an ego cause it can all be taken away from you in a second. My mother has taught me these things as well. She also taught me to be proud of who I am and never to let anyone undermine or belittle me. I believe the phrase was "if someone tells you that you are a red fire engine, does that mean you'll turn red and start to toot?" God I am cheesy. But this is the truth.
