About Me

Insomnia is annoying in a really special being-in-the-mouth-of-the-devil sort of way. It's 3am and forsaking any semblance of productivity, I have decided to rewrite my about me section on myspace. Problem: I am super boring at 3am. Let me say something about you instead. About You: You are a curious individual seeking a greater understanding of myself and others. You enjoy cruising on myspace and reading about people you may or may not know. You understand that you can't possibly learn everything about a person based solely on their particularly biased self-assessment, but you are still compelled to read on, a practice akin to reading the summary of a book you're about to read anyway. Nothing like forewarning is there? You like long walks on the beach. Don't be ashamed, everybody does. Everybody enjoys a good sunset too. Someday you are going to change the world... no, really. Most people aren't yet aware of it, but you possess the ability to leap over tall buildings in a single bound. Your parents thought you were just playing dress-up, even they don't know you still have the cape. It's been increasingly difficult for you: the rising popularity of cell phones has eliminated the need for phone booths but that will never stop you. You will always find a way. Why does myspace have an "about me" section anyway? You're the interesting one.

My Interests

Autopsies, self-restraint esp with morons (aka better person program), the zoo (animals really are better people), lovely alien boyfriend (he tolerates me as though he's from another planet), anger as an art, others in their foolishness. Pictures of all the afore-mentioned.

I'd like to meet:

No one in particular, if you're Superman you'll get a real kick reading my "about me" section. For everyone else: If you walk on two legs, I'll probably dislike you; if you walk on four legs, I'll definitely like you; if you walk on six, you'd better stay out of my house; if you walk on eight, you're dead to me... That didn't rhyme a bit, huh?

Music:

punk (esp British from late 70s-early 80s); old timers: Ella, Louis (Armstrong and Prima), Noel Coward, etc; oi!; industrial (it's "stomptronic"); rock-a-billy and all its offshoots; John Cooper Clarke); dancehall cuz it makes me shake my booty; older rap; limited newer rap, ODB's pretty nifty; the music from "Oliver" and "Fiddler on the Roof"; some opera, mainly Kiri TeKanawa (she's been damed for it, you know); 80s new wave, even before it was trendy again. There's more but I'm tired of typing.

Movies:

"Silence of the Lambs", "Logan's Run", "Elizabeth", "Quills", "Sin City", "Donnie Darko", "Bubble Boy", "Hellboy", "Kung-Fu Hustle", "Shaolin Soccer", "Iron Monkey", "Unleashed", "The One", "The Jerk", "Delicatessen", "The Last Unicorn", "Fist of the North Star", "Amelie", Star Trek movies, "Trekkies"(a movie about other people who like Star Trek movies), again I tire of typing...

Television:

Screw Luddites! I watch lots of TV! Gimme Sarah Connor Chronicles, Battlestar Galactica, (....project runway....) and all those wonderful "tru" forensics programs.

Books:

Books give me food coma.

Heroes:

Vinnie Jones, Geoffrey Rush, Cate Blanchett, the guy who played Buffalo Bill in "Silence of the Lambs", JRR Tolkien, Peter Jackson (for more than just Lord of the Rings), Cary Mullis (thank you for PCR), Richard P. Feynman (most brilliant man who ever lived), Stephen Chow, Donnie Yen, Lil' Bro.
