I USED to play hockey at the Whittier YMCA when I was like 10, until I hurt my back, which hindered me from skating long periods, so I played the rest of my "career" as the goaltender instead...Funny thing was that every game was a shut out for us after that, considering I was one of the worst defensemen in our tiny league.
