wakeboarding, scuba diving, salt/fresh water fishing, cooking, reading, traveling, painting, marine aquariums, horseback riding (English), playing pool, salsa dancing, taking my raft out on Town Lake, and going to the park with my dog Booze.
As far as meeting that "certain someone" I think the most admirable traits in either a friend or something more would be a good sense of humor, confidence, compassion, and the ability to continuously appreciate the good things they have been blessed with in life. In my line of work I see the worst situations imaginable and it amazes me when someone only has a small clue as to what they have. I think self-respect and assertiveness without excessive self-worth also add significantly to the quality of one's character. If someone continues to be walked on, cannot stand up for their beliefs, or tries to force them on others then it is not possible to have any confidence in what they say. Most importantly, one has to be content with their self before they can ever be happy with someone else. Many I've met have either not reached this point, lack the capability to do so, or even worse they are not sincere enough to uphold any propositions that would make me even consider slowing down...until now ; )

The job is great so I'm holding off on continuing formal education for a while. I recently read "Holidays in Hell" by P.J. O'Rourke and laughed until my stomach hurt.
At this point I have to say my mom. She never ceases to amaze me! Just when you thought she was done she stood up and kicked life in the balls. Now she seems to sleep on it like a tempurpedic matress. My grandfather has always enjoyed my independent way of thinking and never expected or wanted me to be a women who had to be "taken care of". Then there was my father... He had a strong character, good morals, and a GREAT sense of humor. He was a pilot, a colonel in the US Airforce, a writer, an artist, and was successful on the air waves and on TV. What he taught me in life continuously plays a part in how I deal with things today.
