It will be the all new Wednesday social scene for the trendy, upscale, mature, and sophisticated individual. Wednesdays will be exclusive and elite, catering to “who’s-who†of Austin. Come early and lounge to the grooves of neo-soul, ol' school and r&b feel good music. Mix & mingle on two levels - the main lounge area, and the rooftop with a view of the city. Come late and dance to hip hop and the best top 40 hits. Enjoy strong drinks and no cover all night long. The Light Bar is the all new Wednesdays Spot. Blend Wednesdays - a diverse blend of People + Music.
Showcase on the Rooftop: November 8th through December 6th - out of the 50+ that auditioned, we have hand selected 12 gifted vocalists to compete in a week to week elimination-style competition for the audience to decide who's the best singer in Austin. Prepare to hear some great live music. Show starts @ 9:30pm. The audience will decide who advances, so come show your support.Note: Come dressed to impress. Dress Code in Full Effect. We reserve the right to be Selective. The Light Bar is located at 408 Congress Ave, downtown Austin the Warehouse District.

Urban Paradise Ent. is doing it AGAIN. First, Urban Paradise Ent. & Illusion teamed up for the hugely successful Black & White upscale event during Labor Day weekend, now it's Halloween weekend and we're bringing trendy+upscale back to one of Austin's hottest and largest upscale venues - Club Illusion - on Saturday, October 28th, 2006.
We're upgrading your nightclub experience with one of the classiest and sexiest events of the year. Bring your entourage! The paparazzi will be awaiting your grand entrance. Dare to be bold! This event is not for the plain or dull! Dress to impress! Dress code will be in full effect. We reserve the right to be SELECTIVE.
Doors open at 8pm with DJ LL & DJ Quan spinning the best r&b, hip hop, and old school music. The party doesn't stop until 3AM. And don't forget, you get an extra hour on this special evening, due to daylight savings!
Valet parking is available, and as always, free lot parking. This is a 21+ event.
Directions to Club Illusion:
From I-35 North, take the 1825/Pflugerville Exit. Bear right towards Pflugerville, go through the light on 1825/Pecan St. Pass behind the Tinstle Town Movie Theaters, go about one mile, and Club Illusion is in a shopping center on your left (right before the big ice cream cone). You will see the large Illusion sign.
