About me, lets see. My name is Dulcinea Roxanne Rocha. Some people call me Dulcie or Dulce and a few of my family members just call me D. I love my name, I always have. I was named after a character from the play Man of LaMancha. The only thing I don't like about my name is having to pronounce it to people all the time. It can get old. I had a teacher in junior high and high school who still after 5 years of attending school couldn't say my name correctly. But I just laugh to myself and I still love it!! I'm glad my mom was creative with naming me and my sister. I'm 26 years old and currently I am living in Galesburg IL with my fiance Adrian. I'm from St Louis originally. My family moved to Avon, IL in May of 1993 after moving too many times to count. I was finally able to go to a school for longer then a year! I graduated from Avon High School in 1998. I've moved around since then, including living out East for a couple of years but moved back to IL in the fall of 2004 so I could go back to school. After a couple of years of not having all my school things in order, I'm finally going back!! I'm super excited. I have decided to attend Sandburg for awhile to get back in the "swing of things". Adrian and I have been together for over 2 years now.. I can't believe it!!! The time has flown by and it has been great. I love him so much and I can't imagine my life without him. He is so supportive and caring. I'm just amazed sometimes. We've decided that we are going to get married but we don't have any definite plans about that right now. We both have a lot going on and weddings are expensive, so it might be awhile, but thats okay because being with him is just so great! We also just added to our family with the birth of our first child, a daughter, Carys Makenna. She was born on August 29th and she is just perfect!! I can't believe that I'm actually a mom!! Its so surreal sometimes!! She is amazing and I love her so much!!!
My best friend is my sister. She is 2 years younger then me and we've always been close. She has 2 beautiful little girls, Jordan who is 5 and Kaelynn who is 2. I love them to death and I'm so lucky that I'm their aunt! My sister lives down by St Louis now so I do miss seeing them more often, but it was a good move for them. And since Adrian and I won't be in Galesburg for the rest of our lives, its not such a bad thing that they don't live here anymore. My other close friends are friends that I've had since the 8th grade. Melissa and Pam. Melissa and I talk a lot during the week and we haven't really lost contact with each other since graduation. Pam and I just re-connected a couple of years ago and it is nice catching up and being friends again. Friends are important.
I am kind of quiet, some people think that I'm a snob, but I'm not. I just don't talk a lot, especially around people that I don't know. But when I'm comfortable with someone I can be just as loud and just as goofy as the next person. I love to read. I have a lot of books and whenever I get the chance I read. I also love movies. Adrian and I have a lot of DVDs and we are constantly adding to the collection. I don't really have one favorite movie because I like so many. I also love Coca-Cola stuff, lotion (I have way too many bottles!), teddy bears (my sororities mascot), shoes, and I love clothes but I don't shop a lot because I hate dealing with trying things on and them not fitting! But that part is getting better since I'm starting to lose some weight!! Hooray for me there!
I love things to be neat and organized. Since I'm so busy I don't always have the time, but when I do I'm at home cleaning and organizing. Example: all of our DVDs and CDs are alphabetized and I kind of freak out if they aren't. I think I might have a little case of OCD!
Adrian and I have 3 cats and 1 dog and our apartment is almost always filled with the sounds of the cats running around and Hayley, our dog, chasing after them.
I have 5 tattoos and will probably get more and I have a lot of piercings in my ears as well as my tongue.
