CSM XL Jewellery Design Graduation Exhibition runs from Saturday 16th June to Thursday 21st June (excluding sunday). Openning times are 12-5 saturday, 12-4 monday, 11-8 tuesday - thursday. It is free and open to everyone. It is taking place in Lethaby Gallery, Central Saint Martins, Southampton Row, nearest tube is Holborn, London. Do come along!
Modern Jewellery Designer, completing the last year of my degree at Central Saint Martins, my work is infused with organic inspirations, such as undulating, twisted, crusty and rythmic surfaces and textures. I am fascinated by the gesture of reaching, interaction and relationship, the fundamentals of all existance. As well as my serious and conceptual pieces, i love making fun, humerous, contemporary jewellery for guys and dolls.Surprisingly enough, I like to write too. Various progressions of poetry and prose have been based on the experiencing of the present, mindscapes and mental states, and all of this in the context of everyday life; interaction, imagination, interpretation and the passing of time. I love images too, perhaps more than words, i love the temporal nature of mere moments, the recording of these moments into memories; a complex montage of visual, verbal and abstract thought.I like to question our perceptions of reality, to try to understand the movement of the human through time, and to study how we converse using language, action, emotion, image, and how it is that we remain isolated despite our attempts, how our language seems only to limit our discourse, and the realisation that happiness is not a look to the past, but a dialectical motion forwards, a present appreciation, a future gaze, ultimately, redemption.Unlike what you may think, this is not pretentious garbage, this is sincere.Aside; I also like to dance to Paul Simon in dresses that allow me to show off my bottom and enjoy a slice of battenberg with my darjeeling darling. Samuel Beckett describes so eloquently the thoughts that occupy me frequently- what a writer/thinker/genius...............what a man.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

Jean-Luc Godard in the sixties, Samual Beckett, Walter Benjamin, Rebecca Horn, and of course, contemporary designers and thinkers who share in the passion. Certainly not forgotten, i'd love to have a a chat over tea with the greatest of gentleman, William the duck (you can find him at hackney city farm, he'll be alone musing over his thoughts).
