HOUSE MUSIC - Shapeshifters, Freemasons, Bob Sinclair, Armand Van Helden, Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Eric Morillo, Spiller, Modjo, Phunk Nouveaux, Carl Cox, Ron Carroll, Blue Lagoon, Milky, Moloko, Daft Punk, Junir Senior, Soul du Jour, Benjamin Diamond, Cassius, Stardust, DJ Harvey, Belanova, Pastora, Amigos Invisibles, Carolina Marquez....and many many more artists similar to these. Just ask there are too many to mention. I try to stick to pure house; no techno, no trance, no free-stlye, no break beats - just pure dance music.LATIN MUSIC - (tropical/danceable)- more contemporary stuff but also some traditional artists. Carlos Vives, Bacilos, Gian Marco, Fanny Lu, Erica Ender, Kema, Fonseca, Danilo Parra... these are just a very few of the contemporary artists whose music I love to party to.Reggaeton - pretty much stick to the more melodic, less angry, less demeaning of the songs.... no need to bring the anger to the party. Try some Reggaeton from Colombia and Panama... can't go wrong.Salsa - mostly the old good stuff... Niche, Guayacan, Fania, Latin Brothers, Eddie Santiago, Ruben Blades, EL Gran Combo, Frankie Ruiz, Jerry Rivera.... I don't think the newer solo salsa artists of today quite make the cut.Merengue - I love it... but unfortuately a field with little new life; must stick to the big artists; Juan Luis Guerra, Tono Rosario, Rikarena...it seems like all the efforts of the Domincan artists as a whole are going down the tube by focusing on bachata; what a waste.Vallenato - again mostly the old stuff with some very few exceptions. Vallenato has taken a very lamentable turn towards excessvely romantic lyrics with very poor detestable melodies; much like bachata. What a shame.Latin Rock - I will listen to just about anything (of course Colombian artists are very preferred); however my only comment regarding latin rock is that Soda Stereo, while good, is just way way over-rated and over-played.On the rest of music I do like many other types; classic rock , a little alternative, jazz, blues, r&b, rap, hip-hop, soul, reggae. Just no country.
A little bit of everything. But my favorites are the types that make you think and reflect, and that portray the human condition in all its aspects.
Yes, I watch and can usually find something that will entertain me.
