About Me

I'm a dedicated divorced dad and drive a cab. Under my nom de plume of Kane S. Latranz, I wrote a short alternative press review column for a weekly rag called The Alibi for about 4 years and have published fiction nonfiction and poetry in such magazines as Philosophy Now, Weird Tales, Gauntlet, and Tales of the Talisman, along with a host of others. Okay... Along with a few others. Most recently my story, "Marble Kiss," is in issue #24 of the U.K. literary magazine, Visionary Tongue. The collage is called How to Induce a Nightmare.I am basically kind-hearted, if not so wide-eyed as once was I.

My Interests

Long daily walks. Like, not "on the beach," but LONG walks! Clouds and crows and weather. Gothika. Magic, candles, wine.To say nothing of interests in philosophy and the arts and writing. The big picture, spirituality and science. (Not mutually exclusive in my book.)ON AGED CINEMATIC VAMPYRES by Kane S. LatranzNoferatu, always a delight. Acreeps the stair, on shadowed night. With claws so long, with hunger, bright, stalks cornered prey, instilling fright...

I'd like to meet:

Someone creative, open-minded, and compassionate. Crazy is fine so long as it leans more toward good crazy than bad crazy. ..

Music:

Lots of stuff. From Tones on Tail, Love and Rockets, and Daniel Ash solo material to more recent Korn (I think they have improved over time, actually.) I like Dave Mustaine and the Megadeth and atmospheric instrumental soundtrack-type music, experimental and ambient and mellow rock and other stuff, too.On MySpace I have discovered the cool bands, Malice Mizer Fan, Legion Within, Dominion Radio, and She Wants Revenge.

Movies:

Horror and comedy and stuff. It all depends, really. :^P

Television:

Recently got into a place where DishTV is included and so do turn it on now and again. Have recently decided that I really like Scrubs. Mostly for movies and cool fun weird stuff. That includes paranormal, (Monster Quest is a favorite.)DETROIT HORROR MOVIE HOST, "SIR GRAVES GHASTLY." R.I.P.

Books:

Anything by Herman Hesse such as Steppenwolf, Siddhartha, Journey to the East. Enjoyed some Steinbeck such as Of Mice and Men. Would have wept at the end but I was reading it to kill time in a public place. Dalton Trumbo, Konrad Lorenz, Barry Lopez. I like magazines, including deeper stuff like The Sun and Parabola, and the sci-fi horror mag, Apex.

My Blog

So Ive started a second part-time job...

My new part-time job is as a "courtesy" guard at a run-down apartment building. Not a horrid neighborhood, but not high-end either. I lived in the place, long, long ago. It seemed old even t...
