About Me

I would know nothing about that.

My Interests

Reading, writing, (but most definitly not 'rithmetic). Yoga, bellydancing, science fiction....

I'd like to meet:

Valentine Michael Smith

Music:

I enjoy the good music of all genres.

Except New Country.

And Gangsta Rap. (Don't get me wrong, I mean, I slap a bitch if ho don't know her place. But I keep it on the DL. Don't go making an album about it.)

Right now I am listening to Blackalicious mixed in with the Soundtrack to "Weeds".

Movies:

I do enjoy movies. I do not enjoy listing them.

Television:

I try to avoid watching teevee. You burn fewer calories watching teevee than you do sleeping. I am not some calorie counting health nut, but is it not creepy that teevee induces a low metabolic comatose-like state? I think everyone should get out of the box!

And I only have PBS. Which is somtimes good and sometimes antiques and carpentry.

I do enjoy "Star Trek", "Farscape", "Dr. Who", "Weeds", and that Simpson's-Family Guy family of adult cartoons. (Except South Park)

Books:

Currently reading: Gabriel Garcia Marquez's Love in the time of Cholera

Past (and in some cases eternal) loves: Anything by Robert A. Heinlein, Illusions and Johnathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach, Larry Niven's Ringworld series, Kurt Vonnegut, Sick Puppy by Carl Hiassan, most Orson Scott Card, ALL Neil Gaiman and the list goes on and on and on and on....

I am not the fire department.

At around 8:30-9ish this morning I got a knock on my door.  It was my neighbor.  Apparently Jubal scaled a tree that he could not now descend and when she attempted to retrieve him he backed...

Just Ramblin On (Singing my Song)

Helena Handcart Loves Butch Chastity Forever

I went to a Wild West themed murder mystery shindig last night and it was the most fun I have had in a long time.  Wine, old friends, horrifically punny names (Elvira-Lynn Fekshin and Elias Truis...

All Hail the Breaking System

My first glimpse of Costa Rica was mountains from the air with a stream meandering amoung them.  My second was the airport which is tidier and more effiecient than any I have seen thus far. ...

Declarations of a Newborn Non-Smoker

After nearly two weeks without a cigarette I can declare a few things:1.  Cigarettes are by far the easiest way to get out of an awkward or simply undesired conversation.  So far as I have d...
